"We visited the Dole Plantation around 3 o'clock, but since it was closing at 5:30, we had doubts about whether we could finish seeing everything. However, we managed our time well. It's the best place to get coconut water. We purchased combo tickets for the train, garden, and maze. The train journey was enjoyable as we got to see all parts of the plantation. Near the garden entrance, they sell pineapple-coated nuts which tasted amazing, albeit expensive. I highly recommend trying them for their unique flavor. I expected to see more flowers in the garden, it was slightly disappointing. However, the maze was truly amazing. We had a great time doing the activity as a family, and both my 10-year-old and 4-year-old thoroughly enjoyed it. We waited in line to get Dole Whip, and while it tasted good, I wish they offered a separate portion for kids. Introducing this option would be helpful for many parents and reduce wastage."
"Surprisingly delightful!.. yes it’s a tourist trap, but it’s a well done tourist trap. Lovely bromeliad-centric landscaping.. you can see pineapples, cacao and coffee trees growing… good spot for a snack, with lots of outdoor seating… the gift shop is a bit overwhelming, so we just walked around the back to the restaurant counter. It’s definitely worth a detour, though I wouldn’t make a special trip just to get here unless you’re really into pineapple."
"We enjoyed the train ride through the plantation which was both educational and fun! There's a lot to see on the plantation and I suggest selecting one of the tours to see it. The store was awesome! We purchased some of the dole whip and coffee which were both delicious. The earlier you go the easier your visit will be as it does get crowded later in the day. If you go early the line for the train will be fast and easy! The store was pretty crowded but was not too long of a wait. A very fun adventure for your kids and family!"
"This was one of our stops on the tour of the North Shore. We didn’t take a full tour of the plantation, but still enjoyed the stop! Big, spacious store for shopping. Lots of options for souvenirs, food or treats to try, etc. They have lots of very helpful staff to assist. I tried Dole Whip for the first time here and WOW was it amazingly delicious!!! I also grabbed some yummy pineapple hard candies. Make sure to check out the rainbow eucalyptus trees outside while you’re there!!!"
"What an amazing tourist attraction to learn the history of the Dole Plantation. It's great for all ages. The shop is super cute. The ice cream is a must try. I highly suggest going when it's not too hot. We couldn't do the maze because we would have melted out there. But train ride was worth it and educational."
