"I'm super sick in a lot of pain needed a emergency visit to the GI I was toldby the Queen's medical center to schedule with them due to the severity of my epigastric pain they told me No! since I was not a patient of there's even though the referral was for them just don't go here I guess they could not care if your possible going to die from your condition."
"Communication is a nightmare both internally and externally. Have never experienced such confusion with any other medical group in my past experiences in other cities on the mainland. Scheduling and followup always requires multiple calls and long holds with nobody answering. Even when I hold on a call while they try to connect internally it is usually impossible to get answers. The MyChart online service if also not structured to answer questions. I will be moving on to another provider because I cannot afford an admin assistant to manage my affairs at Queen Emma Clinic and their partners. REALLY DISAPPOINTING. Recommend they benchmark Scripps in San Diego for performance."
"Review for Queens Wound Care Clinic (which appears to be next to, but not a part of, Queen Emma Clinic)-- once you go in through the main entrance, go past the concierge desk, turn right a couple of times, and down the hallway is the wound care center. It's a small waiting room with 2 receptionists, and several treatment rooms inside. A small courtesy landline phone is by the entrance. I had heard of these wound care places before but unclear on their purpose: online it is defined as "a wound care center, or clinic, is a medical facility for treating wounds that do not heal.""
"Wow excellent care and such friendly nurses and doctors. I was quite skeptical at first due to a bad experience as a child at Queens. In fact, I switched to straub a while back. But in recent years, straub care for patients diminished greatly, treating patients like cattle or a number on a ticket. Unable to get seen or treated properly at straub I was able to get in and seen at Queen Emma clinic within a week. Smh, straub offered sometime next year. From check in to finish, everyone at Queens made me feel well taken care of. Biggest problem everyone should know, Straub after operating on my stomach for ulcers, repeatedly prescribed naproxen, which is very dangerous . Queens system some how identified that I needed to stop taking it and changed my prescription. Time to switch my health care provider to Queen Emma clinic. Thank you everyone at Queen Emma clinic!!"
"It’s a clinic so it’s not like going to your standard primary care doc. My husband goes there and has no complaints. It IS extremely difficult to get through to a real human being but the place is clean and the staff is competent. Queens is a “mission driven hospital” which means they are willing to help work with you on payments and overall this is the best hospital in Hawaii. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 because of the difficulty in getting through past the idiot menu system."
