"Three of us came to try to play pickleball from out of town. I’m used to PB communities being welcoming to outsiders. Well, the three courts were full with 8 people waiting. I asked how we could join the queue. The people there said the 8 people waiting and 8 people playing on the courts r all together. So there’s no way for us to join. So we left. Have never met such an unfriendly PB crowd."

"Nice neighborhood park with large grass playfield, large children's play apparatus with padded ground surface below, shaded picnic table area, restrooms, and tennis courts, including several stripped for pickleball. Nice ocean view and good tradewind airflow. Park is mostly older and a bit rough around the edges, but overall a nice park, but with limited street parking."

"This is casual pickleball at its' folksy best. The locals bring their own nets and share snacks. They are very welcoming to newcomers and the setting is homespun Hawaii."
