"Arrived 15 minutes before closing. I noticed only one car with person entering the vehicle. I drove by entrance that is a side street and did a uturn. The sun was just setting so I stopped and took these pictures along with artifacts on adjoining street. Unfortunately I did not get to see the museum due to closing, but sunset pictures were fun to get on your buildings and displays along with Mt. Charlston snow capped. I'll be back!"
"This is a sweet little local museum. A lot of the exhibits are interesting collections and artifacts donated by residents. There are more professional displays covering the nuclear testing that was done nearby and the attempt to build a nuclear waste repository in Yucca Mountain. AND don't miss the train room. The docent we met was very nice and informative. This is also the best place to get tourist information for the area - skip the official visitor center (just a kiosk) and come here."
"My wife and I found the Museum by happenstance... the experience was enjoyable and the history was fascinating. Will recommend to all."
"I love these types of Museums. There is nothing fancy but you can tell someone who really loves the history of the local area took the time to set everything up. There is a little of everything. From the history of the cotton fields, to the geological rocks in the area and too the Nuclear tests done at the ranges. There is a small train exhibit that is VERY detailed. This place is not huge, so you can be in and out in an hour. Admission is free, but they have a donation box. Drop a few dollars in to help them out. This is not spectacular, but it is an absolute must do when in town."
"I had a great visit at this little museum in Pahrump. Fantastic garden outside had no idea Pahrump grew cotton in the 50's and 60s! WOW! So much cool stuff! Really enjoyed the self guides tour and all the saved and fixed up buildings. The general store is by far my favorite, a lot of work went into restoring that! LOVE IT! Highly recommend this place for any history nerd/tourist/museum buff."
