"They will vandalize your car even if you have a permit to park there. Without warning they will put a sticker on your car that cannot be removed. EVEN OF YOU HAVE A PERMIT TO PARK THERE. If they had an office to call I would."
"Two stars because it is located right across the street from some great skiing, otherwise it would have been one star. The condo was dirty. Dirty dishes were left in the dish washer, some dishes in cupboards were dirty, used coffee filter left in the coffee maker, etc. It was clear the condo hadn't been touched in 30s years and was falling apart. The hallway had a strong, terrible musky smell to it which made its way into the condo. The TV was also very old with no options for streaming services, which should now be fairly standard. The Wi-Fi was slow and spotty. Only one of the four lights in the kitchen worked. The parking situation is terrible. I was told my parking pass would expire when I check out at 11, which means I needed to get up to move my car early in the morning of my last day since the general parking fills up quickly in the morning. This was made worse because the entrance to the garage is guarded by a bar hanging down to 6'6", even though the majority of the spots could clearly handle taller vehicles (a vehicle over 7' had parked in there by just scraping their roof box on the bars). Since I didn't want to do that my very reasonably sized car (at about 6' 9" with the roof box) wouldn't fit and I had to park outside which meant I had to spend time in the morning digging it out. This negates any potential advantage to staying in Kirkwood. There are only two options for dinner, one you have to drive to that I can't comment on and the other is an overpriced, crowded, noisy bar with bad food. Fine if that is your scene, but not great when traveling as a family. Much better to just stay in South Lake Tahoe and drive in in the morning. Much better accommodations at substantially lower cost."
"Nice place to stay anytime of the year. Clean and centrally located within the Resort."
"Our room didn’t have a view - because of all the snow in 2018/2019! We booked our room through Vail Resorts 96 hour sale. We enjoyed our room and especially enjoyed skiing at Kirkwood. Our studio room had everything we needed including a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker with plenty of coffee from the front desk. It also had an iron and ironing board. I’m not sure why. We were in unit 110A which has to be the #1 most convenient location in building 4. The #6 lift was right across the street. Also, our favorite, Cornice Grill, was next door. Parking for "standard rooms" is outdoors even though they have parking underground. We got the primo parking place right next to the entrance and the snow didn't bury our car so we were good with that. The reason this place doesn't get more than a 3 is the buildings are just so old and the remodels seem a bit dated too. But I highly recommend and we will be back. Hope we get this unit. I’m not sure how Kirkwood Resorts determines which rooms guests get but I may try to request this one."
