"Great location close to the slopes for skiing. Customer service was prompt when needed. Excellent amenities. Easy to use/call shuttle service. Can’t wait to stay back here next time we come to Heavenly."
"The staff there were super helpful with all our questions. We loved checking in with Will at front desk! Location was great as there was a tram that connected to stagecoach so you don’t need to worry about logistics Buildings were slightly old, but great amenities"
"The place is a mixed bag, which explains the generally poor reviews. We stayed in the newly remodeled plaza. It's actually well done, with modern furnishings better than the average 3 star hotel in the bedroom and living room. They did not touch the kitchen or bathroom which are early 2000s beige, but still not bad. None of the buildings are truly ski in and out. The tower and the currently closed neagle are close to what they call the skier express. It's a 8 person gondola on a single track that goes back and forth to the lifts. It's pretty slow to make a round trip, and has staircases on both ends. Still nifty. All of the other buildings (even those the holiday inn considers "on site") you will want to take shuttle. It's fairly efficient, taking about 5-10 minutes to pick you up. From the plaza it's a 10 minute drive to the stage coach lift. The return trip is only a few minutes. Due to the one way road no matter which building you are staying the total round trip journey to the lifts will be identical. Everyone you interact with in the resort, and at the desk especially is incredibly kind. Underneath the kindness though the actual service is generally poor. Most of the hot tubs were out of service during our trip. A couple we met mentioned it was exactly the same last year. The staff is very apologetic about the situation but clearly management doesn't actually care to maintain the tubs. The grills/patios were snowed in and it had been ~12 hours since the last snow. I called and asked if they were planning on clearing them so I could make dinner plans. They were very apologic and said they would be clear in an hour. They never cleared them my entire week there and eventually said they decided to put them out of service due to weather. The resort offers a shuttle to town, though for evening trips it goes on weekends at 6pm and 8pm . I got to the lobby a few minutes prior to the scheduled departure. Apparently the shuttle left 4-5 minutes early. I asked the staff if they could get me downtown. They passed me over to the manager who made it very clear under no circumstances are they responsible for their shuttle, and all that he owed me was an apology. It was a weird backhand apology where he implied it was my fault. I told the guy it sounds like you don't believe me that the shuttle left early - you can check the cameras. He responded it was irrelevant to him as to when the shuttle actually left. I'm sure it's this same attitude as to why all the hot tubs are perpetually broken. Altogether you get what you pay for. If the service was better they would have better reviews, and if they had better reviews they could charge more. I still recommend the place for the price, but make sure you set expectations accordingly."
"Rooms were clean and spacious, except for the critter that kept greeting us in the kitchen. We asked for room service on day 4 of our 7 night stay, came on day 6, which was not helpful. Stayed in the Plaza Building, has 4 hot tubs! How many are working? 1. That was the whole time we were there and it didn’t appear this was anything new by the looks of them. Loved the friendly front desk agents and the views, but holy hell, fix those hot tubs and figure out the cleaning schedule!"
"Great location for ski access and if Stage Coach is running. The rooms/suites are spacious and have a lot of light. The hot tub and saunas would be great if they worked. It’s a hit and miss and while there’s usually hot tub in working condition they might not be in your building. Parking is plentiful and covered with great access to the building. The service is ok, but you may need to wait a bit longer. The resort offers some amenities for non-skiers such as fitness gym, table tennis (bring your paddles), etc. Overall seems a decent option but it’s a bit dated."
