Basecamp Tahoe City

"Thank you for being such accommodating hosts for the 20+ of us who stayed or visited Basecamp Tahoe City, where never was heard a discouraging word, and the skies were not cloudy all day, literally, on both counts. Summer was so very helpful to me from the first time we talked last September through our last morning there. Dealing with a large group must be a challenge, but it did not appear so by her attitude, consideration, helpfulness, and creativity in helping us enjoy our stay to the fullest. Employees John and the two young women (sorry about our name forgetfulness) who helped us understand our climate control remote and in the lounge were also very helpful and accommodating. I will pass along my great Basecamp Tahoe City experience next fall to whichever of our club members volunteers to lead next season's 49er Ski Club North Shore Ski Trip. Thank you to Summer and her staff for making us feel at home and happy. Jim E."

"We really enjoyed our Basecamp experience! Our family stayed in the "Great Indoors", and the kids got a huge kick out of the pretend campsite and having their own bunk space. The hotel provided a space heater and we did need it to keep the kids room warm. Also bring slippers, the flooring is AstroTurf. We made heavy use of the fire pits for s'mores, and all of the staff were very friendly."

"Beds/rooms were clean, but the carpet needs to go! It was vacuumed, but so dirty... stains everywhere on the carpet. The carpet needs to go! I stayed 2 nights, they never came to clean/ or service the room (housekeeping). The guys at the front desk seemed either super tired or very mellow or chill. I did not pick this place, someone else did for me. I would not stay here again. It is pet friendly... but I did not bring my pet."

"Will give this place an easy 5 stars. Place is close to everything, quiet and walking distance to the lake. They have very good coffee too!!! We loved waking up and sipping freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Clean rooms and comfy bed. Would love to come back!"

"Checked in with Michael and he was very accommodating with a king room. Also bought beers from him, he was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Rooms need new carpet. But they are cute for the price. Will def come back. Location is 5 stars!"
