"Rooms aren't fancy, but they're clean and comfortable. Fair price. Bed was clean and comfortable after a long day of exploring the area. Bathroom was HUGE with good water pressure."
"No rooms for miles around while on way to Yosemite led us to this little gem that a local told us made rooms available daily at 4pm on a first come basis. No A/C but clean, quiet and fully stocked in a small pleasant town."
"This place wasn't great or horrible. They don't take reservations and they open at 4. This is actually good for people who wind up not being able to get into Yosemite. The rates aren't too bad but the rooms are small and close together and very close to the road. The bathrooms are pretty nice, though, with sizable showers."
"As Lee Vining has limited accommodations, I suppose these motels can charge whatever they want. However, for $100 I would have expected a little more. My motel room was dirty and warn. Worst of all, it didn't have air conditioning. The area apparently always cools off nicely at night, but the room was super hot when we arrived, and never cooled off to our liking. The pillows were cheap and flat, which didn't create the best night's sleep either. Having said all of that, these places seem to make all of their money in the summer, so they likely don't make enough to fully sustain them all year. Still, it's a lot of money not to at least have AC. Better than sleeping in the car though!"
"This little place doesn't look like much, it's dated and shabby, but the perfect kind of place if the hot springs and fishing spots bring you up north. They DO NOT take reservations! You have to arrive by noon or 1 pm and the rooms are assigned on a first come first served basis. The family staff do what they can to make your stay comfortable. We requested the room with a kitchenette. It was cozy and clean and affordable. It is a convenient location to Mono Lake, Mammoth and several local primitive hot springs like Wild Willy's and Buckeye. Good times."
