"Dr. Dunn is probably the best dentist I’ve ever been to and I’m 77 so that’s saying a lot. Not only is she a talented dentist but she’s strikingly beautiful. I went to her before she opened up her own practice and was amazed at how well the tooth she made in her office came out. Then she had a bridge made for me and it fit like a glove on the first try. It took only a few simple adjustments to make it perfect. I saw her today, in her new office, regarding a broken tooth below the gumline and the only way to fix it is with is by doing another bridge. The office is absolutely gorgeous and classy. She is the only dentist using modern equipment on the this side of the Island as far as I know. Having X-rays done in my very small mouth has always been a painful experience with the big heavy metal contraptions most dentists use that you have to hold with your teeth and the large square films with sharp pointed corners, ugh…not here though. Here they use a tiny little mouth gizmo that is SO easy to just sit next to your tooth and there’s nothing to cause any pain. Fabulous and why don’t the other dentists in town use it? I have been to 4 different dentists since moving to the Big Island 28 years ago and none of them have modern equipment or use up to date innovations like this. If you want a high-end experience with a smart and very professional dentist you will not do better than Dr. Dunn, I can assure you. I have TMJ, and have ruined my teeth by grinding them in my sleep and not wearing a bite guard. My first dentist here retired after 20 years and the new dentist was awful. After breaking this tooth I saw two other dentists; one of whom wanted to yank it out! Thereby causing my jawbone to be in danger, so he was out. The 2nd opinion dentist also recommended a bridge but being allergic to nickel I could not have that metal in my mouth. Still waiting over 3-4 weeks so far for an updated price using gold and silver. This dentist is good but as an employee of a dental company, based on the mainland, with him seeing 4 patients all simultaneously I have no faith that I will ever get the updated price, which he forewarned me would be very very expensive and had to come from the owner in Texas! With gold costing over 2,000. per ounce I think it’s actually going to cost more than Dr. Dunn’s price. Why should I have to wait over a month to find out what my price will be? I left 2 messages for the second dentist but he is just too busy to return calls and that dental company doesn’t even have an office manager! Apparently they don’t believe in having one; omg, what insanity! That’s crazy when all he has to do is call the owner. He’s just so busy with so many patients all at the same time that he doesn’t even have time to make a call due to the time difference and his packed schedule. Dr. Dunn does not use any metal in her office so I don’t have to worry about allergic reactions to nickel or pay an outrageous price for gold. For all these reasons she is the one dentist here that I trust and can recommend without hesitation.You will definitely find cheaper dentists here than what you will pay in this dental practice however I doubt you will find a better dentist than Dr. Dunn. It all depends on what kind of work and experience you want. Personally, having anyone messing around in your mouth is about as intimate as it gets with basically strangers and I’m pretty picky about who I give access to. Btw, I did not get paid for my review-(although I wish I did ;>)."

"From the moment I walked in, it was a very nice atmosphere. The receptionist was very friendly. Jamie was very thorough with her x-rays and answered all my questions. Diana did a very good job cleaning my teeth and instructing me on how to better clean my teeth. Although the dentist is not my favorite place to be, they made it far less painful! Highly recommend this practice!"
