"I've been getting gas from Mr. Toma now off and on for over 33 years and he is definitely one of Haiku's finest individuals. He is always pleasant, always pumps your gas for you (old school style). I'm not sure if he still does repairs but he can put air in your tires. It may be a bit more costly than downtown but for convience and to support small business and local business bring him your business(of getting gas). And be ready to talk story with him, he is so nice!!!!"

"Ralph Toma is a neighborhood mainstay and a cultural icon that should be honored and cherished as a valuable member of the Haiku community. The Toma Garage has served the Haiku community for many, many years. His son, who was intending on continuing the gas station/ small mechanic garage, unfortunately passed away. Obviously somewhere in his 70's, Ralph has steadfastly kept the gas, and neighborly Aloha flowing, despite the hardships that come with losing a son and business partner. His gas is a bit more, but I am happy to pay it, knowing I am supporting such a fine man and his family!"
