Princeville Airport HPV Kuhio Highway, Kilauea, HI 96754
About the Business
Princeville Airport (HPV) is a general aviation airport located on Kuhio Highway in Kilauea, Hawaii, United States. Originally opened in 1977, the airport served as a hub for commuter airlines until the state took over operations in 1994. Following Hurricane Iwa in 1983, Princeville Airport also played a role in emergency relief efforts due to its capacity to handle smaller planes.
Although the state managed the airport for a period of time, it ultimately decided to drop its lease in 1999. Despite this, the airport continues to be an important part of the aviation infrastructure in Kauai.
Visitors to the airport are reminded to respect the intellectual property rights of the content on the airport's website, and to obtain proper credit for any media used. Commercial use of the media is strictly prohibited, and users must comply with all regulations outlined by the Hawaii Department of Transportation.
