"On Tuesday, I noticed that the pastry showcase had a fly in it. I informed the cashier about it and she was trying to get it out? They should have just taken everything out and toss it in the trash. We don't know how long it's been in that showcase. Case."
"The donuts made us both really sick ): I hate to write a 1 star review but I want to warn others. I'm not sure why but we both got violently ill after eating them. We're guessing possibly having a cross contamination for an unclean environment as the donuts didn't taste expired or bad."
"Our go-to spot when I'm too busy baking for my family myself. Absolutely love their donuts, Spanish bread and suman."
"I really love the Ube Pandesal with the cheese inside. I am a big time ube and sweetpotato lover. I'm always looking for pastries and breads and items using these ingredients. My son told me about this place a few years ago after he moved out of Hawaii and we immediately went to go try it and have fell in love with it. The only reason why I don't give them a five out of five is because sometimes they put the pandesal in 5he box when they're still piping hot out of the oven and that causes them to act weird in the box. As it builds up moisture. Sometimes they put too much cream inside the bread and I don't like too much cream. It has to be a good balance maybe they should load the bread filler with controlled portion sizes. I think if they properly handle the pandesal after it comes out of the oven and allow it to cool off a little bit it will be a better product maybe a perfect product. Don't let it cool all the way down but just let it cool off enough when it's not still 350°. If you box bread that is too hot it doesn't quite set and it becomes kind of mushy and weird. The staff is very nice and polite they're just overwhelmed and busy but that's what happens when you have a good product and people want it you're in demand. It's too bad that they are hidden away inside of a fish market in waipahu. They need their own standalone location. Again I love this place a four stars a little low but a five-star little high I wish I can give them four and a half Stars. Either way if you're in waipahu go to the fish market across the street from Don Quixote and behind McDonald's and inside next to jollibee's is this hidden away Little gem. Oh and one other thing. When I say they sell out, I mean they sell out! So sometimes you might want to call and reserve an order 6 in a box. People literally line up in the morning for these treats before the store opens."
"4/15/2022 Went back today for a Butter Cream Pianono roll and Pimento Bulilit (small rolls with pimento cream cheese in the middle). Yum! Went to an Easter brunch on 4/17 and sis brought two boxes of Ube Cheese Pandesal. Woah! First time I tried this pastry. Awesome! It's one of my faves now so the next time I get to Valerio's I'll pick some up. 3/19/2022 First time trying Valerio's since they moved to the inside of Seafood City. I used to go often when they were by Tanioka's. The pimento cheese little buns and the pineapple cream little buns were my favorites! We've also tried the Balintawak and that was good too. Today I tried something new, Butter Cream Pianono, which hubby loves. I also got a chicken empanada. Both items were good! The Butter Cream Pianono was a light and fluffy sponge roll with a sugary buttercream filling. So delicious! And this was only the second Filipino empanada that I've tried. This one was my favorite so far! The empanada's baked, shiny, crispy, and slightly sweet shell was filled with a soft mixture of shredded chicken, carrots, onion, and maybe potato. Very tasty! The only way that it could've been better was if the filling was a little saltier to offset the sweet crust. Uh oh, now when we get to Seafood City, which isn't very often, I'm going to need to stop by Valerio's! Don't forget to take a number as soon as you get there."
