"We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa, and we asked one of the employees there if there was any place to eat in the area that didn't cost two arms and three legs; he replied the Island Gourmet Market. He said that he frequently gets food there and that we would not be disappointed. The market contains many things that a regular grocery store would carry plus it has a deli and a little food preparation area. They have a nice selection of food that was prepared that day including a variety of sandwiches and meals such as spaghetti and meatballs, small pizzas, etc. We got a spaghetti and meatball dinner and a small pizza, took them back to our room, heated them up, and ate outside on our patio while watching whales. They will heat food for you if you wish to eat there. We also bought some muffins and fruit for our breakfasts. The food is good, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering what restaurants in the area charge."
"Show up during peak operational hours - know what you want and you’ll have no problem ordering food or drinks. Some people expect 5 star service when arriving 30min before close and asking for 1 bubble tea split into multiple drinks…yeah. I had a great experience here ordering my drink and buying goods in store. They were bumpin’ with customers and I found the staff excellent! I’ll be back soon. ;)"
"The largest nearby grocery store with a ton of items. They have hot foods, fresh sushi, poke, fresh sliced veggies // fruits, sandwiches, and more. You'll find the typical household staples in addition to some local goodies. They also have a HUGE souvenir selection which is great. Staff has always been very kind and helpful. Even when it's busy the lines move fast. The store has always been clean when we've come in and it's a definite go-to each year when we visit. Save those receipts and after spending $100 in subtotal charges you're eligible for a fun little gift."
"Upscale food store with clothes and gifts. Lots of wine, cheese, crackers and stuff for your charcuterie board. Not so much cereal and regular food but enough to save a trip to Kona or Waimea. Not cheap, but you weren't expecting it to be cheap, were you?"
"Considering that everything in the local area restaurant wise is overpriced and not the greatest, this is the place to get “affordable” eats. The food in the deli is made there and it’s made every day. Best food ever? No, but it’s not offensive."
