"Great food and service. We enjoyed the sake too. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. It was a large serving but great. It was on special so we got veggie pot stickers for a discount. For dessert we had a pineapple creme brulee, so delicious."

"Tucked away in the corner of the strip next to Longs. The owners are very sweet and their staff is great! I’ve only recently been on the island a month but the food shocked me! The flavors were so reminiscent of home. A home cooked meal in a restaurant setting; what more can you ask for? Chicken katsu curry tasted amazing!"

"Had read several reviews on Tanpopo, and the ratings are totally justified. We cam to Tanpopo on a Friday evening and they were packed and we couldn't get in... so we made a reservation for the following evening and it was no problem to get it. Upon arriving we were shown to our 'reserved' table. The staff there are super friendly. I have to admit the menu is eclectic, pasta to ramen, to flat breads to rice dishes. We ordered the Shio Butter Ramen and the Tonkatsu Ramen bowls. Both were served up hot and fresh. Overall, Servers are wonderful, food is very good and prices are on par with Kihei. Definitely worth your while to try Tanpopo if you haven't been here before. Yup, I'll be back !"

"We stumbled upon this restaurant after deciding we didn’t want to stand in line at the one of the many food trucks a the Kihei 4th Friday party, boy are we happy we did! Our dinner here was excellent, greeting, service, dinner, and dessert. This place is a Japanese and Italian restaurant, not a fusion of the two but a place to get both delicious Japanese and Italian food. We started with the Japanese fried chicken appetizer which was tender and delicious. I had the plain Fettuccine Alfredo which was excellent, I can’t remember having a more delicious serving of this dish. My wife had the Garlic Shrimp dinner which was also excellent. Even though we were stuffed we had to try dessert because dinner was so delicious. The fresh fruit parfait, I’m not sure of the actual name, was wonderful! Freshly prepared to order and so delicious. We split one order and it was perfect."

"Good Eats! here! I like this place. Came here back to back nights. A good fusion of Japanese and Italian, at least that what people tell me. I just like the taste! Still can’t find a great bowl of ramen but the broth is really good here. And if you’re not a fan of ramen, you’ll love the other dishes here. Definitely keep room for dessert! Great place for a date! Cozy but not too loud. If your date orders a salad here, you eat your dishes and also their salad and then order them something else."
