"Dinery for locals. Really tasty food, to be honest. Not expensive. Reminds me of IHOP, but Oahu’s local dinery. Clean and good. Food is great."
"The waiter was excellent! Very quick in serving us. The onion rings & chicken katsu looked golden brown and easy to bite into and not overly cooked or burnt. The service was great up until I was ready to pay. There wasn't anybody at the register. The dining room wasn't busy yet, but while waiting for someone to ring me for my bill, customers were starting to come in. Some got seated & some had to wait for a table. I wasn't too sure who was supposed to ring at the register. After about what seems like 5 minutes, my waiter that served us was able to take my payment."
"I just don’t understand why people are crazy about Zippy’s. The food here is nothing to rave about. Today we went here “defiantly not my choice.” Ordered a bunch. Large Won ton noodles($13.35), Mini Korean fried chicken plate($13), Zippy’s omelet($14.35). One of our guest was hungry and added, chili cheese fires($9.55), side toast($3.50), corn soup($6.90), a side of bacon($7.50), Coffee($2.95), and Liliko drink($4.10). Each of our entree was $13-$14, and $35 of sides. Whatever…. But how did all taste? Not worth the $80 plus tip we paid for lunch. The first pice of fried chicken I ate was cold, I would have sent it back to the kitchen, but the second one was not cold, not hot. It wasn’t anything exiting worth having them make me a hot one. I tasted everything else.. nothing exciting. Just protein and carbs to fill up your stomic. It didn’t seem like they had enough people working there for the amount of customers there. The atmosphere is really boring. I’m sorry Zippy’s, it’s not for me."
"Absolutely delicious. Came here right from our flight from California with a total of 6 and had to stop by for a late night meal at 11pm. A few items were sold out but we ended up ordering: Korean fried chicken meal, fried chicken and chili meal, and loco moco. Not shown: Ox tail soup (cooked with peanuts) and saimin. We all shared the ube & coconut napple (a must). All dishes were 5/5 and our server Leah was fantastic. Make this part of your itinerary when you visit."
"Food here was pretty good! The Pork Eggplant was a little light in flavor, but we're okay with that. Sweet Sour Spareribs were good and homely. Mac Salad was saltier than expected. The Teri Beef, however, stole the show. It was the best in flavor. We also got Corn Chowder, which was pretty good. Service was not the best. Our server brought our food, saw our glasses were low, said she'll come back and fill them up, but went missing for the rest of the meal. We asked for the check, and were presented with two checks. Turns out the waiter had entered the wrong items initially, opened another order with the right items. We had to double check to make sure we weren't charged twice. That aside, this is good, homely food. Would recommend for the Teri Beef alone."
