"Came here for lunch on a weekday. It was bustling but efficient. I got the club sandwich and I have to say, pretty damned tasty!! I love a good club sandwich. This had fresh tomatoes, fresh soft avocado, nice meats, and the bacon was perfect with just the right amount of crunch. The bagel it came on was delicious as well. It came with a tiny salad which had very fresh greens. I'd come back here in an instant! The place is kept spotless and service was friendly and professional."
"I haven't enjoyed spending time in a Cafe since visiting Europe until today. Kaka'ako Cafe offers a delightful array of food and beverages but I think the highlight of this place is the atmosphere. Firstly, it is very clean and efficiently structured. The ladies at the counter gave me excellent service and their intermittent bursts of laughter in the back make me feel at ease. Coming from the service industry myself, I know the kind of stress these kinds of work environments produce. It is very nice to see them enjoy their time while serving guests. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!"
"It's quiet and you can relax. The food is good. Portions are generous. No preorder necessary. I also like that the cream and sugar are self-serve, as many places keep them behind the counter now."
"Stumbled in this cute space for breakfast. Simple beacon egg croissant latte and orange juice delighted my taste buds. Staff is super pleasant and love the quant cozy atmosphere. Reminds me of Sausalito California waterfront shop. This is now my favorite place. Highly recommended!"
"I honestly wasn’t too impressed with this cafe. The staff is wonderful! Sweet, kind, friendly- which I really appreciate. I ordered the Egg White Pesto Bagel. They said they were out of egg whites (and I understand they’d want to save cost by not using regular eggs for this and using the carton of egg whites, but I wish they would make an exception if they’re OUT of egg whites). So they subbed a regular egg patty. I also asked for no cheese and they put cheese. The sandwich in general was overly oily/buttery for my taste. There was also a dressing on the side salad that I personally didn’t enjoy- tasting a bit sour with an odd texture. None of these issues are too big of a deal and some are just personal preference, but it was unfortunate to have a multitude of smaller issues with a spot I was hoping to really enjoy. The setting has a pretty nice atmosphere. Probably about 15 or so seating options and more seating along the little complex that it’s a part of. There’s just quite a few cafe options in Kaka’ako that I would choose over this one from this experience."
