"Worst service ever !! I literally came in for a full cut (literally chopping all my hair off) no style , no wash , no anything .. I was met with dickie & alyssa .. with immediate confusion and disbelief on their faces that I walked in . They of course asked what I was looking to do today . But when I told them I was just trying to get a cut (which I use fantastic Sam’s before in multiple states and cities) Alyssa stopped me before I could even proceed with the conversation and said “we don’t do textured hair here” . At the time I had on a hat so I was at first confused as to what she meant . So I proceeded to take my hat off to show her that my hair was in deed just like hers . However because I was darker in complexion I believe she was ignorant to knowing that hair can be cut within any texture . When I asked if dickie could do as she was LITERALLY CUTTING someone hair who happened to be white .. she states “no I’m not doing it either” we dont do black hair in this type of salon so what do you need ? .. Further more I asked for the manager because I was GENUINELY confused at the behavior I was recovering from originally talking with alyssa. and was told by dickie “ I’m not sure what your issue is” They would not give me the store manager name or number. But basically told me if I had an issue it wasn’t their problem & that I could leave my phone number for the manager to maybe call me back . I do believe this business needs to be reassigned stylist and I’m not sure how people who went to cosmetology school are getting away with turning people away . Just because they are brown skin? I’m pretty sure as a student black people are taught how to treat and maintain white Americans hair so why aren’t they being taught to treat and respect black people hair or as they called it “textured hair” ESPECIALLY FOR A SIMPLE EVEN ALL AROUND 3’ CLIPPER CUT . ID LOVE TO HAVE THE CAMERA CHECKED ON THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED. In front of my husband and the other client ."
"I went in as a walkin today. There was no one in the front, staff or customers. I could hear multiple people in the back but the girl that came out said that there was no availability until 4 pm. I guess "walkins welcome " means something different to Fantastic Sams. (And this is after I tried to go in yesterday at 3 pm and they were "closing" even though it says they're open way later)"
"I'm sorry to say this but I walked in and it was the most unfriendly place the woman who was going to do my hair said she couldn't do the cut I wanted. I can't tell you her name because she never told me. I just left so disappointed."
"Update your hours on Google. Says you’re open until 7pm on Google and Yelp. The sign on your door says 5pm close time. People don’t like their time wasted. I’ll gladly change my review once the hours are updated."
"Booked an appointment through Google. Got a confirmation text then, another the day before, then another the morning of. I get to the salon and they said they can’t take me due to the stylist that I was originally going to be placed with not working there anymore. I said ok well then place me with someone else? The guys said no we can’t we’re booked, I called you several days ago and left a voicemail. I said ok what number did you call because I didn’t get a voicemail. He reads back the Google telephone number, not mine. If you’re going to utilize online booking at your salon the least you can do is train your staff on how to use it and how to cancel bookings. I’ve also never had such an awful experience with a salon. The guy was extremely argumentative and rude. He did ultimately passive aggressively say he would stay late to rush me in but I don’t want to be rushed with my hair. I just wanted a better experience and to get the service I originally booked. I will not be back."
