La Barbacoa

"We just flew back into town and decided to try La Barbacoa located close to the airport. We had seen posts about it on different social media and had to see for ourselves if it lived up to the hype. When we walked in we were greeted right away by our friendly server. It was early so we were the only ones there and sat in a booth. It's a fairly larger space and the tables were spread out and not crowded. The furniture was a little run down but not a big deal. We chose some items from the lunch special menu and we received our drinks right away. The chips and salsa were good but just a little small. We could've asked for more but the food came out quick. Everything was very tasty. The birria meat was cooked well and was pretty tender and juicy. The dipping consome lacked some flavor but wasn't terrible. My wife's burrito was packed and the carne asada was flavorful. Overall the service and food were really good and we would definitely go back to try more if we are that side of town. Give them a try for yourself and see how you like it."

"It's okay. I wanted to like this place because the waitress was very friendly. However, the food was pretty mid. The presentation was very cool though. Everything about this place was great but the taste of the food was nothing special. It's good and you should try it out if you're thinking about it."

"There is not enough I can say about this restaurant! First when we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest hostess ever! The way we were treated was amazing and to find it was genuine made it even better! That was just coming in! Now the food... that was another level all by itself! Everything thing we ate was amazing! I love Mexican food and this was the best! Everything was homemade and worth every penny! Please try them out! Thank you for being the best! Thank you Rosie for being so kind!"

"Fantastic food and service!!! The lunch special was 10.99 including the drink. Everything on the plate was flavorful and cooked perfectly! I even told the waitress that I could believe how reasonable the prices are. I cannot imagine these prices will last. Incredible find! Go there and try the food now!"
