"I noticed this restaurant one evening when I was in the area having dinner at another restaurant and told my family that we need to try it. Just like any other new restaurant, I did some online research to ensure this will be worth driving all the way back to this part of the city (we live in the far Northwest part of Las Vegas). Obviously you know what we decided because here I am rating and writing a review of this restaurant. My family and I ate here on 8 Jan 2024 and when we walked in, I was surprised to see no one in the dining area. I guess that night everyone decided to stay home and do online orders because it appeared that the online orders were flooding in (based on observation). The guy at the front counter (I'm assuming he's the owner), told us to pick any seat/table and he immediately brought us our water. We ordered Kimchi Jjigae Soup, Gun Mandu (fried) Pork Dumplings, Jjin Mandu (steamed) Pork Dumplings, Kalbi Bibimbap, Galbitang Soup, and Kimbap/Kalbi Box. Everything was made fresh and was super hot when it arrived at our table, which was very appreciative because it was one of those cold Vegas nights. One thing that really stood out to me was the Kalbi Bibimbap. Typically, I'm used to having Bulgogi as the main meat in my Bibimbap and considering that Kalbi is my favorite, all-time Korean style meat, it was a rather shocking, yet positive surprise. Another noteworthy significance of this restaurant was the amount of Mandu they serve in one order. Whenever I go to restaurants, they always seem to skimp out on the amount they serve, but not this restaurant...and above all, they sell them at a reasonable price. Overall, this restaurant is phenomenal. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio is outstanding and the customer service is great, though I don't know how they operate when the restaurant is very busy. The décor is slightly dated and could use some freshening up, but it's not awful either. If you haven't been here before, you definitely need to go try it out - I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!"
"This hidden gem of a Korean restaurant gets my thumbs up (I’m Korean, born and raised in Korea). It’s not an all-you-can-eat bbq but rather a-la-carte style. The nangmyun (cold noodle) is icy-cold as it should be and well seasoned in the beef broth. The ttukbokki is spicy but hits the spot. I crave these menu items regularly and luckily live close enough to frequent the restaurant. I’ve only seen a few customers eating in at a time during weekday early evening , which makes me think most customers get takeout. Love this small restaurant. Kudos to the restaurant owners for making Korean food available far from Chinatown. I highly recommend this place."
"- Food: I saw a lot of good reviews (most of them are non-koreans) and was recommended (by Korean community) for Cold Noodles (냉면) about this place but it was rather underwhelming. The noodles were cooked properly but sauce was not impressive which was very red so I was expecting spicy. There was not even any thin slice of pork meat that usually is served on top of the noodles. Just half boiled egg, cucumber& pickled radish slices. The portion was average. The pork with spicy sauce served with the noodles was a bit smelly. - Ambience: It is a typical mom & pop restaurant. I don't think the price point does not match with the atmosphere/interior. - Service: The food came a bit slow. There was only one casher/serving staff who was nice and friendly. - Hygiene: Utensils, cups were clean but the floor was filthy :( - Price: I know Korean foods in the US in general is higher price point but why does it have to be more expensive than LA? Especially when side dishes (Kimchi, pickled yellow radish, pan-fried odeng, radish kimchi) are served in a disposable Styrofoam plate. - Restroom: It was fairly clean. - Location: It is conveniently located in South West called second Chinatown, near Walmart Supercenter, Hobby Lobby, Ross and Lowe's so it is good to eat there before/after shopping. - Parking: The establishment is in the shopping area so there is a plenty of parking. - Etc: They do not serve alcohol beverage. [Will I be back?] As a Vegas local and I do not visit the area often so I don't think I will be back on my own anytime soon but I would give it another shot for different foods if there anybody wants to visit when I am in the area."
"The place looks like a authentic korean restaurant. I had the beef tofu soup. It came with rice. It also came with 4 side dishes which were spicy cabbage(kimchi), yellow pickled radish, fishcake and bean sprout. The tofu soup was spicy, had lots of flavor and tasty. The service was great. Overall it was a good experience."
"I really wanted to love this place. It's close to my house, and they're so nice here. But the food is more home style than restaurant style. Today I ordered carryout, but I've previously dined in as well. The service is excellent. Looks like a family run business. They're all very friendly. I tried the bulgogi gimbap today. It was good, but I could do without the bulgogi. I've also had the soondubu (tofu soup) here several times. I didn't realize you have to ask for it to be spicy, so that's on me. However the soup is bland every time I've had it. It's just missing something. The kimchi soondubu is boring. The seafood soondubu is mediocre as well. It looks they use the frozen seafood medley you buy at the Korean grocery store. Also when ordering carryout, they put the egg in already. I ended up with a whole boiled egg when I got home. I like that they include banchan (side dish) with carryout. The kimchi was too fresh for my liking, but that's just preference. The kongnamul muchim (soy bean sprout) was very good. I'll have to order something other than soondubu next time."
