Quality Inn Lone Pine near Mount Whitney 1920 South Main Street, Lone Pine, CA 93545

"We came here after visiting Death Valley and also visited the Alabama Hills from here. Clean, spacious enough room. We had a Mountain view room. That is also where the street is located, so if you want to avoid traffic noise, choose the other side. The interior is a bit dated, but functional and in ok shape. I got very hot in the bed, it felt like they have plastic underneath the sheets - but I did not check. Bed itself comfortable. Breakfast is included - Tea, Coffee, juice, two kinds of cereal, joghurt, Toast, scrambled eggs and sausages and even a waffle maker! Unfortunatley all one-way plates, plastic cups and cuttlery, lots of waste. Advertised pool is out of order (Mar24). Friendly check-in staff. Enough parking spaces. All in all it was fine for a motel and for what we payed."

"We have stayed here several times over the years passing thru - price is okay and they allow dogs. Checkin staff are very nice. The facility has become pretty run down - open ceiling with pipes exposed leaking water. Water pressure for a shower was horrible - could hardly get wet. Place needs to be renovated. It is a great stopover and has great views of the Eastern Sierra. Hope the owners can pull something together!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this place on our way to Mammoth. The hotel is cozy, clean and has breakfast! But what really stood out was the quality of service. The people at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. Special thanks to Danny who went above and beyond to help us out. Will definitely be back!"

"Excellent customer service (Friday night) and room is well laid out and roomy enough for two adults and one dog. Variety of pillows on bed, and windows actually open for cool night air. Can highly recommend. The only downside was the spa/hot tub they advertise so heavily, and what sold us, was closed. This felt like a bait and switch. Whether it's Hikers/Bikers/fishermen, or snow spots, all active people would like this amenity. Advertising you have it, when it's closed, is very poor."
