"I've had the pleasure to get some really great looking pieces from this Varvatos location with superb customer service in the past, but in my last visit about a week I ago, I was greeted with alarmingly poor and dismissive customer service. After introducing myself as a young musician who's loved the brand for as long as I've been performing to an employee named John, he proceeded to comment about how not just anyone can afford this brand and asked if I even intended to make a purchase at all - both delivered in a tone that insinuated I didn't have the ability to buy something there. I was literally wearing John Varvatos glasses, jeans, and leather boots when I came in. What does a patronizing response like that say to potential customers, especially when it's directed towards the very audience that this brand is supposed to attract? It's not enough to detract from all of the other positive interactions I've had buying boots, shirts, jackets and even really sick vinyl records here, but that was an extremely disappointing display of arrogance."
