About Us
Barsness Park, located in Glenwood, Minnesota, is a beautiful 300-acre park near Lake Minnewaska. The park offers a campground with various hookups and amenities, as well as hiking trails and a wildlife preserve. Visitors can enjoy activities such as horseshoes, volleyball, softball, soccer, and Frisbee golf. The park also has facilities for gatherings, including buildings with kitchen facilities. Additionally, there is a swimming beach and boat landing nearby. The Glenwood Shooting Range, open seasonally, offers opportunities for education and training in firearms safety. "Been coming here since I was a baby in my mom’s womb. They had seasonal campsite number 13. They changed it to 31. Cool story bro. Went up for Waterama and had a great time. Park is clean. Splash pad for the kids. Firewood is $5. Sand volleyball looks fun. Reasonable pricing. Bathrooms are clean."

"Great park right off the lake and only a few blocks from downtown. Trails are well established and meander through the woods of this beautiful hillside along a small stream. I’m not sure what the history of this park is but it must have been a ski resort of some sort due to the numerous abandoned chair lifts. Plenty to do , camping, hiking, frisbee golf and right across the road from the lake."
