"I was attracted to this "company" by their promise to do a quality job on the cheap. DC jack repairs on laptops tend to be expensive, so $75 seemed like a steal. It was - but the other way around. I brought my laptop in for service, and it turns out the operation is run out of a basement of a family house. That's fine, less time to wait in line. After a week I got my laptop back. When I turned it on the fan was disturbingly active. Any little task pumped the GPU temperature up to 120C immediately, forcing the computer to shut down to protect itself. I took it back immediately, and Sami the technician was nice enough to look at it and properly seat the heatsink on the GPU. Next, the CPU overheated. Not as bad, but it got hotter than it should. I fixed this myself, because I did not want to drive so far for such an easy job. I didn't understand why it wasn't done the first time. I also noticed the laptop's case was not properly reassembled, but that was just an aesthetic thing and an easy fix. Less than a month later, the DC jack broke again. I emailed the technician to make a warranty claim and was replied to with the statement "we always do our repair properly." This, from a guy who screwed up and had to redo it already, and couldn't even fix his mistake properly. I never took it back, choosing instead to DIY. When I got to the problem, I saw that the solder on the jack had come loose. It was an ugly, crummy soldering job done by a real amateur. I touched it up myself, and despite having next to zero soldering experience was able to make a better, sturdier fix. Lesson learned. The service here is simply not what you or your computer deserve."
