"We love Two Rivers. The vets and staff here are top notch. They take great care of all our furbabies!"
"Went in today to get my dog's annual shots and annual prescriptions for heartworm preventative and flea / tick prevention. I specifically asked for Interceptor and K9 Advantix because I know my dog tolerates them well. I also asked for his full vet records to be printed. At the end of the appointment, I was presented with an invoice for $245, a certificate of vaccination (not his full records as requested), and no prescriptions. The invoice listed charges for things that I didn't ask to be done and whose need or purpose weren't explained to me. I was shocked, but there was nothing to be done about it at this point. The damage was done. My dog's health care choices are mine to make, and they denied me that choice. Would I have chosen for the extra vaccine and two different parasite screenings to be done? I don't know. They didn't explain any options, pros / cons, etc. I didn't even know it had been done until I got the invoice. When I asked for the full vet records instead of just the certificate of vaccinations, I was told "That's all you need." It took 4 different tries to get the correct prescriptions. First time, they didn't do either prescription. Second time, they brought one prescription in the wrong dosage, but not the other prescription. Third time, they brought the wrong prescription. Fourth time, I gave up and just took what they gave me. It still wasn't right, but it was close enough. While the receptionist was getting the last set of (incorrect) prescriptions, I asked the other person at the desk to get his full vet records. At this point, I decided to move on to another clinic. I was very clear in my requests: full vet records, prescription for Interceptor heartworm preventative, prescription for Advantix. I just wasn't being heard or taken seriously. It wasn't a good appointment. And the previous one in September hadn't been either. My little guy needed a tooth removed. I was given an estimate for a tooth removal of $723 - $856 and scheduled the appointment for 2 weeks later. After the surgery, I was presented with an invoice for about $1,200. I asked if surgery hadn't gone well, if something had happened, if extra work needed to be done. All no's. Everything had gone well. So I asked why the bill was so high. They took it back to review the charges and came back a few minutes later and said, "It's correct." I was confused, so I showed them my quote. Then there were whispers and two of them went to the back with the quote in hand. About 30 minutes later, they emerged with a revised invoice for the quoted amount saying, "We didn't know you had a quote. We'll honor that price." I still didn't get it, so I asked why the huge increase from 2 weeks ago. They said, "We recently increased our rates." A 30%+ price hike in 14 days seems a little nuts. The whole thing seemed really suspicious. And that's why I'm switching vet clinics."
"We brought in our cat to be put down. The room that they brought us to was cold and not very comfortable. The receptionist did not show any compassion for the loss of our cat. We also felt pressured by the vet to put her down. The vet showed some compassion but not as much as I would expect. The Sympathy Card was just a post card.It would be better if it was a card where the staff would sign. It would show that they cared. When we got the paw prints back the clay was just one paw and not back paw. The paw print stamps only had one paw print that was legible and the others weren’t paw prints at all. Very poor service. The Emergency Vet is way better when it comes to showing compassion, that they care, and were much nicer when we had to bring in our other cat earlier in the year. Their paw prints and clay were way better quality. They also misdiagnosed my other cat that passed away in January due to underlying heart disease. They didn’t look into other options the symptoms that we told them about could also be heart related which they were. They just seemed to ignore them and said it was allergies and related to arthritis. We will be taking our business elsewhere when we get new cats."
"It can sometimes be a nerve-racking experience bringing your pet to a vet but Dr. Hoggarth was fantastic. Very friendly and compassionate. I absolutely recommend Two Rivers if you’re searching for an excellent veterinary hospital in the F-M area."
"Hooked us up with some wheels! They have given us so much hope after our old vet gave up on my dog. All the staff have been so friendly and are always asking how my dog is doing. We've been going to the other vet for 20+ years and they never remembered who I was when I walked in. Two Rivers treats us amazingly and it's barely been a month!"
