Reviews
"I am shocked by the negative reviews for the Elk River branch of US Bank. I have been a customer at this branch for the past 17 years, and have always had a good experience. I have had numerous dealings over the years: notary, cashing checks, withdrawals from my account, loans, credit cards, money orders, cashiers checks and have ALWAYS been treated in a very polite and respectful manner. These folks are definitely a 5 star group in my book. I have a feeling many of the people that wrote a negative review went in the bank with a chip on their shoulder to start with. I will be their customer for life!!!"
"We went into this bank to cash an important check. The man teller was short and rude. Like most us bank employees it seems. Must be part of the interview? I consistently run into rude workers that seem too stuck up to deal with anything other than themselves i suppose? I've switched banks due to the lack of not only customer service but can we talk about the tremendous amount of fee's for blinking too many times? Us bank across the board is Teribble."
"I’ve had many problems with US Bank. During Covid though it was almost impossible to meet with anyone at a few locations. Banks are only open during the 9-5 time frame (normally). I Had an emergency, I needed to get out more than the thousand dollars which is the max the ATM lets you get. Guess what not open at 4pm on a Thursday. I planned it so I would be there early and have time to meet with a cashier to get money. I’ve had this happen multiple times in Monticello and I never go there anymore. I moved my business account to another bank because they’re my closest bank and I don’t want to risk missing out on big opportunities because they’re not open to do a cashiers check or wire transfer. Most of the time I can wait to get my money out at a different time but honestly update the website to say closed or something. Give us a way to know your location is closed and not waste our time. I feel it should be against the law to let a bank deny access to your money when you need it. I chose to do my business banking at another bank because I’ve had more problems with US Bank after covid. Thank god I did and I was able to get money from them. Honestly if another bank opens up more branch’s I’ll switch all of my stuff."
"So far good enough for me. I opened a savings and checking account after leaving a different bank. It can be cumbersome to get an appointment. When I enter the bank, the service is good. The bank is open when I expect it to be. US Bank is doing better than the previous bank I had accounts with. When I called US Bank to get refunds on merchandise I didn't receive, the phone wait wasn't longer than five minutes and representatives have the right answers. This means your staff is trained properly. Yes, I did receive my refunds and received good advice to fax proper documents for refunds at a local branch instead of doing snail mail."
"I’ve been a customer for many years and am extremely dissatisfied with how things were handled after being denied for a HEIL. The mortgage loan officer I worked with was not knowledgeable with what I would consider basics terms of home mortgages. It took several attempts to receive a response and when I did I was given an 800 # to contact to attempt to understand why my HEIL was denied. I spoke with four different departments who were unable to provide me with any information. Each of them did indicate the loan officer at the branch should be able to tell me why I was denied but he and his manager were not. I’m extremely frustrated that I couldn’t get answers to something that seems so simple. Why is it left in the customers court to attempt to track this down? It leaves me with the impression that because I wasn’t approved that I’m no longer someone they want to deal with. Frankly, it being pushed off on the customer to track this down is unacceptable. I will be working to determine who I need to contact regarding this issue as I want to prevent it from happening to others. It’s simply unacceptable!! This branch has lost my business and I will contact another mortgage company who treats their customers like they matter. Do better!"
