"Awesome organization!!"
"I am upset. Earlier this evening my son, who is developmentally and behaviorally disabled, was told he could not attend a pizza party being put on by the Fargo/Moorhead Special Olympics. He was told that if he attended all bowling sessions and attempted to get donations for the agency that he would be able to attend their after season pizza party with his special olympics friends, which he did both and was enthusiastic about both, he loved being willing to help them in earning funding. When he went to Mandan, ND, he was told he could not contact me, so he got upset because he wanted to share his trip with family, because of his disabilities he pulled the fire alarm to show his frustration, this occurred over 2 weeks ago. They just tonight decided he was not allowed to attend because of his displaying one of his disabilities at the tournament in the motel room. As an agency who represents the disabled, I am dissappointed with them, because they discriminated against him because of his disability. He was so excited, waited for over a month for this party, then was told at the last minute he could not attend, which made him cry. They also do not provide wheelchair accessible vehicles to those who are wheelchair bound to get to activities. Please read this, and know that they are not all that they claim to be, thank you!!!!"
