"I had a lechon truffled rice the lechon was ok it was kind a taste old tho and they add a piece of the pig ear which is really hard and taste like one week old. Over all I'm not impress. I'm not gonna recommend it to my friends when they come visit. I am a Filipino and i know how to cook authentic Filipino food. Best of luck.."
"4.5 stars for me. Finally getting around to trying this place, its been on my Vegas food bucketlist since catching wind of a Filipino joint in a mainstream Vegas hotel food court. So I had to try it. Saw the surprising low reviews and had my doubts but tbh, I really liked it. Yes, pricey, but Filipino food isnt typically cheap like chinese food and lets be honest, nothing in Resorts World Las Vegas (or any hotel really) is cheap and everything is overpriced. Back to the food - lechon was moist and flavorful and to my surprise after reading the reviews, mine came with lechon sauce which was exactly how i remember it to be, so damn saucy, sweet and good. Perfect compliment to the pork. The skin was crispy AF, giving me more nostalgia, but i would say, it was a bit saltier than i remember but its been a while since I had lechon...but still very good. And then the real winner was the truffle fried rice! Never tasted anything like this, esp at a pinoy restaurant...and i eat a lot of Filipino food. Definitely an elevated garlic fried rice which I loved. I could have ordered the rice itself and been happy but the combo of roasted pork and rice hit the spot perfectly! I was craving Filipino food for sure! If i were to make one suggestion - to add a small veggie side or garnish like cucumber salad or atchara! The pork and truffle rice can be a thick and rich dish so to cut that a bit after some bites, a fresh element like veggies or even a simple salad would be the perfect compliment! Besides that I think the dish is very good. Will try the lumpia next time. As for the sisig panini, I'm not big on filipino fusion but i'd give it a shot. I consider myself a purist so adding a sisig rice bowl with an egg would be perfect to the menu! And the western palette or those exploring filipino food still would love it I think. Overall nice job Pepita's Kitchen. Shake off the haters and keep cookin!"
"I passed by this spot and the Lechon & truffled rice really looked good, so I ordered that along with their lechon lumpia. The pork pieces were cooked perfectly and the rice was probably the best part of the dish. Overall it was really delicious and the lumpia pieces were classic Filipino apps! Don’t forget to get the lechon sauce! I’d definitely come back to get the lechon & truffled rice again! Customer service is close to non existent with the way the self service works."
"I’m sad that this place doesnt have a higher rating because while I can admit that it is definitely a bit steep in price, the quality is certainly there. $19 -- Lechon & Truffled Rice was absolutely one of the best dishes I had all weekend. This is definitely a dish that makes my Filipino heart so happy and the rice was just so flavorful. I love that they had different bits of the lechon in there and even included the crispy skin. The only gripe I have is that they didn't have any other sauce than sriracha... what's a girl gotta do to get some Mang Tomas?! I will say that the pork is a bit on the drier side hence the desire for sauces. I hope you’re taking notes, de la Fuente, because this will definitely make a world of difference! (10/100—2022)"
"For all the Lechon Lovers out there—— Look no further and prepare your taste buds to the phenomenal roasted pig at Pepita’s Kitchen! The aromatic, savory, and crispy-licious texture of their freshly made lechon will definitely remind you of traditional fiestas back home in the Philippines. This seriously made my trip to the newly opened Resorts World Hotel worthwhile."
