"I recently had a conversation with a supervisor and I was deeply disappointed by her behavior. As a supervisor, it is expected that she would handle escalated calls with professionalism and empathy. Unfortunately, she was pushy, dismissive to my concerns, and did not offer any solutions. What made matters worse is that she repeatedly referred to me as "baby", which I found to be inappropriate and uncomfortable. This department has been a source of frustration for parents with special needs children, and if the is the level of communication they provide, it is truly disheartening. Supervisors should be held to a higher standard and should approach calls with delicacy. In addition to her lack of professionalism, she never introduced herself to me which just adds to the continued disappointing display of our interaction. This experience with the Supervisor has raised concerns about the safety of our children when they are being transported by this department."
"This is one of c c s d's maintenance department for vehicle traexpectation . The building that I was at , Transportations Place for bus drivers administrators . This building is occupied by CCS d employees who work for the transportation department ,No maintenance workers are at this building. All assigned workorders or job orders, and p n duties Are sent to a central location. Then, the supervisors for this area sends out the necessary people to do the work. My observation is that both outside and the inside of this building. Need a number of things done to it ."
"Most UNempathetic people on the planet. They care NOTHING about children or their safety. The drivers are incompetent and the supervisors are idiots. They have hearts of robots!!! CHECK ON YOUR CHILDREN!!! If I could give them -5 stars I would."
"Update 2: Investigator called, said there's 17 kids assigned to the stop, that it's at a centralized location and are refusing to move it and refusing to provide a courtesy stop for us. They said that the stop has existed there for years and last years drivers were at fault for having common sense instead of making my kids walk that unnecessary stretch. None of that makes any sense whatsoever. Bus registration carries over year to year automatically. If there's truly 17 kids assigned to the stop, it's likely none of them are using it anymore because CCSD Transportation is hell to deal with and has screwed them over in one way or another in the past. Yet those carry overs stay in the system for years it seems. For some reason CCSD Transportation feels that it's more important to stick it to me and my kids than provide a sound service to the community based on the public's needs. ==================================== Edit: I'll be contacting my state representative (local government rep) about CCSD transportation, and I highly recommend everyone else do so as well. ==================================================== Moved in back in March. Last school year our stop was routinely forgotten, with the bus not even coming down our street some days. We also had the bus driver drive down our street once, look at us and wag a finger "no" and pass us by Yesterday with the new school year starting the new bus driver told us that he couldn't make an accommodation picking up my kids 500 feet up the street. To provide some context, we live in a gated community and the bus stop is down the street at the corner. My kids are the ONLY kids that ride the bus at this stop. There are only 2 ways in and out of our street where the stop is, and the bus has to drive in one way and out the other. So he has to pass by the entrance to our community anyway, unless he plans on attempting a U-turn at the stop every day, which is a ridiculous thought. Every other bus driver has stopped in front of our community without issue, but this new driver said he would have to "ask his supervisor" if that's alright. Today he said that the supervisor said no, and that they would have to walk the extra 500 feet down to the corner to be picked up, even though they'll then be driven right past our gate immediately afterwards. And that I would have to call transportation and that he has to follow the rules of where the stop is. I told him that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of, but he insisted that I have to call. Which is perfect, any time I've had to call in the past I always spend at least an hour on the phone, most of that just waiting. "Disappointing" doesn't even begin to describe my feelings towards ccsd transportation. This is supposed to be a public service, yet all they've been is a hinderance. Edit: Update - Finally got through to the call center after an hour hold, spent another hour talking with the call center rep and their supervisor. They adamantly refused common sense, saying that bus drivers cannot be adding stops even though that's not what I asked. They also threatened to hang up on me since I got frustrated, and the supervisor chided me for cutting her off even though she did the exact same thing to me. Just overall childish behavior from them. They told me that an investigation was opened and gave me a number for that, and that the investigator would get back to me within 24-48 hours and tell me the same thing. Called the elementary school and they agreed with me that this is a question of common sense, and the school's office manager is going to contact CCSD and get back to me. Will update again later."
"Ridiculous, my daughter is IEP they are supposed to do curb to curb pick. Last year all the drivers would come into my apartment complex. We were out side our front step waiting for an hour turns out the driver never came into the complex she just stopped outside for a min. No call or notice of the change. My daughter is heart broken she was all ready and looking forward to the first day of school"
