MacArthur Park Unlimited Playground

The MacArthur Park Unlimited Playground, located at 1000 McMath Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a groundbreaking play space designed for children of all abilities. Created by the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department, Arkansas Community Foundation, and the MacArthur Park Group, this playground ensures that every child can play and have fun with their friends. Designed by industry experts RJR Enterprises and Cunningham Recreation, this universally accessible playground features the innovative SONA Arch, an interactive dance and play structure that offers a variety of physical and educational games in both English and Spanish.

The SONA Arch uses a camera to track players' movements and offers games that challenge players with arithmetic, color recognition, rhyming, memorization, and logic tasks. Players can switch between English and Spanish by holding down a button on the arch, and additional games can be accessed by scanning a QR code with a smartphone. The playground also features games like Code Breaker, Commando, Freeze!, Resultrace, Rhyme, and Wipeout, as well as an Aerobics game for adults to exercise.
