"Focus on the cashier. I've visited a few times and the first few times they were not able to process Google Pay. Lines always backed up and the one line that has always been open in the past , the line is labeled as a In-store Service counter."

"Funny, yet very worrisome: We went to Academy on Markham on 12/28/23 with the intention of purchasing a gun safe. When we inquired if we could have it delivered, we interrupted a young man (will gladly give his name to management) at the gun counter. He was trying to stretch a rubber band around his head — not making this up. We left empty handed and concerned about who is entrusted to sell firearms at this location."

"I want to shop here because they have some good deals and some things that I can’t get other places but every time I go in here the customer service is absolutely terrible. The rep checking me out asked me to step aside so he could check out another employee first. Then he rang me up I ran my card and the kiosk said “waiting for cashier” and he stood there fiddling with his eyelid. A little time goes by so I asked are we good? He said oh we need to run it again. This time I swiped it and he hit a button in the terminal and it went through. Clearly he has no interest in serving the customer. Similar situations have happened to me here before so it’s a culture thing among store employees. If there were other options nearby I have to think this place would have been run out of business. They need new management to set a new standard and get people to care."

"Awesome place. The dining area felt open but was still cozy. The food was great and the drinks even better. I wish I had taken pictures before we dove in. We had the crabby fries, cheesesteak, and poke bowl. I can't wait to go back for the happy hour and dinner."
