Mint Indian Bistro 10740 South Eastern Avenue, Henderson, NV 89052

"Opened about 4 months, Mint Indian Bistro replaces Jinya in the Sun West Crossing strip mall that also houses Hiroba’s and Domino’s Pizza. The lunch buffet is $18.99, comparable to other Indian lunch buffets in the area. The ambience is chill and the decor is serene and pleasant with a touch of fun. Now we come to the food. The buffet variety was good with chicken kadai, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, mutton curry, two types of rice, 5 vegetable sides, one dessert and a condiments bar with interesting chutneys. Most of the dishes were solid with the only significant disappoint the chicken tikka masala which featured a less rich sauce than usual for the dish and small cubes of dry chicken breast. The garlic naan was also serviceable (I prefer a naan that’s more garlicky than buttery.) Generally speaking, the food is less rich, less spiced and more bland than authentic Indian cuisine but this might work to its advantage with customers that like Indian but have a milder or healthier palate. Overall, I prefer the other Indian buffets in the area but this is a personal preference. For some, Mint may just be what you are looking for."

"Had a business meeting today and we have been talking about Mint for awhile. I do have to say that this so far has been the best Indian food we have had in Vegas since we have been here. For the price, flavor and quality you get here will cost you for one entree at other spots with no buffet options and small portions. I had the Indian style rice, butter chicken, mutton curry, tandoori chicken, chili chicken, garlic naan, some fresh veggies and a mint chutney. Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful with an open kitchen concept so you can see the chefs cooking. The service was great and attentive but not over the top. The buffet had many options with fresh veggies to complement. A must try for the Indian cuisine lover. We will definitely be revisiting this place many times."

"DELICIOUS FOOD. We had dinner at their soft opening. We had two dal (lentil) dishes which were fabulous. And a spicy (by my choice) vegetable korma which was very creamy with perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff was super helpful in helping my friends (who don't dine at Indian restaurants very often) with the menu. The atmosphere is very relaxing with wireless phone charging at the table. We will be back for the lunch buffet!!!"
