"Can one weekend make that much of a difference? Last weekend we had da best Korean chicken and loco moco and Mac salad. We didn’t mind the long wait because it was so good. This weekend, we tried a combo loco moco/ Korean chicken plate. We called in 1/2 hour prior and still have to wait another 1/2 upon arrival. If you look at the picture, look at the portion…only the batter with two small slices of chicken. Super small portion as well. The hamburger was bad - no taste and the Mac salad had no taste! Why such a difference? So disappointed!"

"Absolutely disappointed. The portions are abysmal. The taste wasn’t there at all. It definitely leaves you wanting something better. The pork hash has way too much ginger. The pastele is terrible. They also pass the processing charges onto the consumer. Pacific island taste is the only Hawai’i style restaurant worth going to. Please don’t waste your time or money on this place. The service was subpar. They do greet you when entering but are reluctant to help."

"Went here to get my Hawaiian food fix. We were greeted at least three times which was nice, very friendly cashier and family atmosphere in general. Ordered the chicken Katsu plate (about $12/$13 with taxes), a spam musubi, & a drink plus tip so my total was around $26. Price was okay, food portion good, friendly workers but unfortunately, that’s where the good stuff ends. The spam musubi had ZERO flavor. The best part about the katsu plate was the Mac salad - had hella pepper in it which I’m not used to, but it was a decent Mac salad. The scoop of rice wasn’t very generous. The cabbage wasn’t all that. The katsu sauce tasted like ketchup which is a no-go for me. The chicken was super generous, it was a good sized plate for what you paid, but I’m not a fan of katsu chicken with skin. I like mine boneless and skinless cuz all the breadcrumbs stuck to the skin which was hella rubbery and I don’t like that. Overall, will probably just stick to making my own katsu at home or going to good old L&L."
