"I ordered from Door Dash, this was my 1st time trying Mo' Bettahs. It didn't disappoint. I ordered a reg. 2 meat plate with steak and shrimp. The spicy mayo sauce was fire with the shrimp! Excellent food. I just found my new go-to place!"
"Mo' Bettahs is a unique culinary treasure founded in Bountiful, Utah, in 2008 by two brothers, Kimo and Kalani Mack. The restaurant is a testament to its unwavering commitment to transporting guests to the authentic Hawaiian island experience they cherished while growing up in O'ahu, Hawai'i. Mo' Bettahs has become a thriving Hawaiian plate lunch restaurant with over 50 locations. The restaurant's partnership with Savory Restaurant Fund marked a pivotal moment for Mo' Bettahs, propelling the brand to new heights and allowing them to share the spirit of aloha with an ever-expanding audience. Their mission is clear - to serve up the plate lunch with an unwavering commitment to an authentic Hawaiian experience. During my recent visit to Mo' Bettahs, I had the pleasure of indulging in their famous Classic Ekolu, a culinary masterpiece that encapsulates the restaurant's essence. The Original Ekolu is a symphony of flavors featuring teriyaki steak, teriyaki chicken, and kalua pig served on a bed of crisp cabbage, accompanied by three generous scoops of rice. A salad choice adds a refreshing touch, and the trio of sauce cups provides the perfect opportunity to customize each bite. The teriyaki steak is perfectly cooked, and its tender, succulent taste captures the essence of Hawaiian grilling traditions. The teriyaki chicken is a savory delight that pays homage to the island's culinary heritage, and the kalua pig, slow-cooked to perfection, adds a smoky and savory depth that transports diners straight to the heart of a Hawaiian luau. The bed of cabbage complements the protein trio, providing a crisp and refreshing contrast to the rich flavors. The three scoops of rice, perfectly cooked to flawlessness, serve as the perfect canvas for the culinary symphony unfolding on the plate. Mo' Bettahs' commitment to authenticity is evident in every detail, from the homemade mac salad to the carefully selecting fresh and quality ingredients. The Classic Ekolu embodies the spirit of Hawai'i, offering a sensory journey beyond the palate. In conclusion, Mo' Bettahs has not only succeeded in bringing the flavors of Hawai'i to the mainland but has elevated the plate lunch experience to an art form. With expansion plans on the horizon, I eagerly anticipate more communities being embraced by the warm aloha spirit of Mo' Bettahs. If you haven't embarked on this culinary journey yet, I highly recommend making Mo' Bettahs your next dining destination – a voyage to the heart of Hawai'i awaits you."
"I love this place, I highly recommend it. The food was delicious the people are friendly. The music was very hawaaii and can't even talk about the place very clean.. loved it. I've been telling all my co workers about this place. You must check it out."
"Drive thru experience The service was great and the wait time was quick. The food: I ordered the half steak and half chicken plate with macaroni salad and rice. I wanted to try the spam masubi but they where out. The steak had a over charred taste to it that almost tasted like burnt sugar. It overwhelms the steaks flavor and made it unpalatable to me. Maybe i just got a bad steak, so I’ll be trying it again in the future. The chicken was good but it lookslike it needed a couple more minutes on the grill. The rice was a little dry and the macaroni needs just a bit more mayo and salt. Price is about $20 - $25 per person. Plates are about $15 - $18 not including a drink. Definitely not cheap. Other than these critiques I am excited to see more from this place. It looks like they just need to get the right team together and they’ll be a staple here in our beautiful neighborhood."
