"Hi guys, sharing what to expect for first time goers, hot food is only walk-up system. @Friday 4pm line is pretty long maybe there were 12 parties ahead of me for Hot food. There’s a live performance on the side that we enjoyed while waiting in line. There will be someone who will take your order in front of the line and you pay to him. Then you can go in to the store - left side is hot food and right side is the meat store. They will prepare your food and you’re good to go! In and out took us 75mins. If you’re there for the butcher you go in and order inside the store without waiting in line. We ordered Beef rib dinner meal and 3 meat combo. For us, the servings are pretty generous. Mac and cheese is seasoned, mashed with gravy, sweet yam, and beans are all flavorful. We enjoyed them all even the peach cobbler. We plan to come back again to try the other meat and sides when we are in the area. But be prepared this is an open picnic table setting if you plan to eat them there."
"I have lived in Vegas for 3 years now and this was the first time I have made it to the Road Kill Grill and now I wish I didn’t wait too long because the food was amazing. I got the 2 meat combo of brisket and hot links with mac and cheese as well as baked beans for my sides. For $19.99, the portion sizes were definitely generous. Both the brisket and links were juicy and the brisket had a nice smoky flavor to it. The beans were really good but I have to say my favorite was the mac and cheese. I don’t know what their recipe is, but it’s addictive. Staff were really nice even as busy as it was. There is no indoor dining but they have plenty of picnic tables under a covered awning. It’s a little out of the way that’s kind of hidden in a neighborhood but it’s well worth traveling to."
"We stood in line for a while and that was fine because it gave my family time to think of what to order. When we got around to ordering, my dad asked for a menu so he could list our whole order and name everything correctly. The lady taking our order was rude and said, "You've been standing in line this whole time and don't know what to order?" Other than that, everything went smoothly. Our order came out quickly even though we ordered the beef rib (which on the menu says the wait time is typically 20 minutes but came out in about 5-10). The food was delicious, but since it's outdoor seating, flies and bees flying around are inevitable. The pulled chicken sandwich and peach cobbler were great and the food portions are huge so we couldn't finish everything and took leftovers home."
"Was excited about trying this spot. The excitement slowly faded. The line was long but that's because the inside where you pick up your food is really small, so it's understandable to have a line. The portions are HUGE! I had the 5 bone ribs dinner with Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans. Was enjoying my food until I discovered a long piece of hair in my Mac and Cheese... but the ribs were decent, but underwhelming...and baked beans were good! My husband had the pulled chicken and after one bite he couldn't eat anymore... straight TRASH! There's a funny smell on the inside of the building and my husband said the pulled chicken tastes horrible like the way the inside smells. I also had the Peach Cobbler that was decent. Glad we tried it but won't go back! And really don't recommend it either!"
"Good food bad service. Incredibly unorganized and inefficient at serving. Too many people standing around not doing anything. Y'all need a good manager. You do get a good amount of food for the money. Almost too much, which is a good thing. The brisket was good although was cut with the grain instead of against it. It had great flavor and a good bark. Wasn't dried out. The burnt ends are delicious. Good flavor and tender to boot. The pork ribs were tough as nails and kind of tasted like corn on the cob. Weird. I will eat here again, but I'll just get brisket and burnt ends. Slice that brisket across the grain and get the servers figured out and y'all will make a lot more money and have even happier customers. It is cafeteria style. Everything is ready to go. Put stuff in the container and slide it down. It took 18 minutes to get my food. That's pretty ridiculous."
