"I would give 3.5 stars. Expected alot from the place but the service was late and very random. Had crab and shrimp combo meal. It was way too expensive. Mac and cheese was great though. Ambience was great, wall painting. The place is not bad but felt like little overrated."

"I had been following this place online and was determined to try them out. My mouth was ready for some spectacular food, but I was let down. They did not live up to their hype. My mom loves ox tails so I got her that meal with black eyed pea and mac n cheese. The ox tails were very fatty. She couldn’t really enjoy them because she was discarding the fat while eating. You’ll see the pictures… But she did say they had good flavor. I tried some but it didn’t make me want to become an ox tail eater. Black eyed peas are black eyed peas. Nothing to say about them. The mac n cheese was super average. If you know someone, or are someone that can make some decent tasting mac then thats all it was. It was absolutely nothing to write home about. I ordered the jerk shrimp and mac n cheese. The shrimp were nothing I cant do and Im no celebrity chef at all. They didn’t impress me. Again my mac n cheese was cooo. Kid approved, because my son polished the mac n cheese off for me. Definitely not a place to go out of your way to eat at, and not a place to have catered to your party."

"Came because of Keith Lee! It took them almost an hour to fix my order and I was the third person in line! My food was $42 and I just knew I was gonna take some back to hotel to eat eat later. I threw it away. I order steak, shrimp and chicken with greens and Mac! Steak was well overcooked and I ask for medium steak! Rice was kind of hard as well greens was ok and the Mac was good! I will not be returning & that’s for sure"

"Ok, so my family is from Dallas. We came here to visit because of a Keith Lee review. Deja greeted us and kindly explained the ordering process. We ordered the oxtails, mac, sweet potato's, greens, brussel sprouts, salmon, shrimp, cornbread and peach cobbler. First impression, it’s a nice place to go with friends. They have a DJ that plays new and old R&B. So it’s not a bad vibe. The portion sizes are huge, def enough for left overs. We strongly recommend the mac, sweet potato's and cornbread. The ox-tail was really tender, seasoned well but greasy. My husband said his salmon was a little overcooked but seasoned good. Oh the Brussel sprouts were also seasoned and really tender. We haven’t tasted the peach cobbler yet. The only downside is the wait for the food. We waited over an hour and 15 min. I even went back up to check to make sure they hadn’t forgot about us and Deja was extremely kind, went to check on our order and communicated it should be out soon and that she would bring it to us. We got there about 2 and it wasn’t too busy, by the time we left about 4:30 it was starting to get pretty busy. The locals said the wait is always an issue but the food is consistently good. I do feel they need to have some kind of manager or someone extra in charge though, because outside of Deja, the rest of the staff wasn’t what I feel an owner would want representing her business. one of the workers taking orders kept rolling her eyes, and seemed like she did not want to be there at all. One came in with slippers and had a hickey on her neck. (We had a lot of time to observe). The only person that greeted us or checked on us during our visit was Deja, the other staff honestly could care less. Just sloppy, unorganized and unwelcoming. All this to say we will be back, will likely order ahead and get it to go. We would recommend to friends. Maybe bring some cards or dominos lol. Oh I will also add for the 3 of us to eat it was just a little north of $150."

"Been dying to try this place for months because the advertising on the flyers and social media is fire! So I took my better half for lunch today. I ordered the steak and lobster baked potato, and she had the oxtails, sweet potatoes and mac n cheese. With 2 drinks, taffy grapes and banana pudding the price was $122. I truly hate to say that it was not even close to being good food. Overly priced, over cooked, and OVERLY SALTY!!!! Honestly it tasted like day old leftovers that someone re-seasoned and re-heated. I TRIED BUT COULDN’T EAT IT. Whatever they were calling steak was definitely some kind of roast. And what they called a baked potato was chopped up red potatoes under my proteins. The banana pudding had crushed up wafers throughout so it had the consistency of a loose cake, however I did like the strawberry shortcake grapes. I frequent lots of restaurants and I know they can be hit or miss, but to put my experience into perspective…I feel that most anybody else would have definitely complained and demanded a refund. Overall 2 out of 10 would not recommend."
