"Learning Rx was a wonderful experience for both of our girls! It was incredible to watch & hear the way the Trainers kept our girls in their respective zones of proximal development - and emotionally supported them through the uncomfortable zone of challenge where real growth happens. Sometimes the girls would cry to not go at first, but by the end tears were shed that they were “graduating” and about how much they missed their Trainers. The Trainers at Eagan Learning Rx are phenomenal. While some of our girls’ cognitive skills likely will not improve much in terms of raw scores, what has undoubtedly changed is their ability to utilize & leverage both their strengths & their weaker areas with confidence. What they can DO with those areas, is fundamentally different. It has by far been the most immediately productive experience in terms of increasing their endurance, their ability to sustain attention, their confidence, & their willingness to persevere & to lean into discomfort - they learned what it feels like to GROW, and they want more of it! ;D Reading was an area we saw impact within just 2 months. Prior, it took a fight to get our child who struggled to read to try for even 10 minutes - & now she will easily read for an hour - of her own volition. Learning Rx pushed her over a hump of fear by identifying, naming, and giving her the concrete tools she needed. This is simply not something I could’ve done as a parent - even as a former educator. What the Trainers do is a specific skill set & it was invaluable for her - especially because she also received individualized instruction in the fundamentals of reading, sounding, segmenting, spelling etc. For our child who is gifted & for whom most things come easily, it finally presented her with an ever-moving target - which allowed her to be consistently pushed to her own edge & confront perfectionism head on - something school rarely does for her. This was a pivotal experience in how she engages with the sensation of challenges. We are extremely grateful for the way the experience has inspired her to fully engage again! It was as if her light was dimming & this re-lit her! In terms of school performance & impact, when we came our girls had uneven reading skills, & now both are consistently scoring above the 90th percentile in reading comprehension. Because we saw such focused effort to support spelling, & phonics, it also helped us isolate areas that will need long term attention & support. For the girls, it took the fear out of the conversation and empowered them to engage with their own growth trajectories in meaningful ways - and it seems that is a lasting effect!!! Learning Rx is not magic, but working with the Trainers in Eagan was an incredibly effective experience in terms of supporting our daughters in developing the cognitive, academic, & character skills it will take for them to make the most of their educational opportunities. Not only did it feel like it “woke up” their little brains, but it solidified a “growth mindset” in them - which was pivotal in how they perceive themselves as learners. We are so grateful & also so proud of the work they did! I recommend that anyone interested or suspicious of neurodivergence in their children, start with a test, & go from there! It was very helpful to have our whole family test - and soon even grandparents & adult siblings were interested & came to get tested! If nothing else, testing and the review also provides you language & insight to discuss and navigate what we do see as parents, but don’t always have the vocabulary to describe or research. Seeing the familial patterns was also helpful & insightful."

"Josh and Wendy have been wonderful to work with. We took a leap of faith that LearningRx was going to be the answer to our Daughter’s learning challenges. She struggled to retain information and would become easily overwhelmed with multiple step instructions. At the start of the program she knew 13 uppercase letters and very few letter sounds. Since December, her confidence has skyrocketed. Not only does she know all her letters, upper and lower, she knows most of the letter sounds and she is reading! She is passing her spelling tests and keeping pace with her classmates. She loves learning again. Her speed processing has improved significantly and can easily follow multiple steps.
