"My son goes here and absolutely loves it, Mrs Harris (pre-school director) is great very loving, so are all the teachers. They have many activities, my son has learned so much, I love the fact that Christian values are being instilled in him not only at home but at school as well. Education wise I have seen a great improvement in his speaking. He can communicate so much to us, he knows shapes that I had even forgotten about lol he enjoys when they give them homework for a week because he gets to finish it in one night. It's great! Definitely recommend!"
"As a student who attended this school when he was in 4th Grade... I believe I have the experience to say this school is going down hill each year. During my 6th Grade year; it was the best school year of my life, and every year after that became worst. The only pro I give is, is the fact that they have some caring teacher like Mr. Cox, and Mrs Flores who sits around and help you with personal problems. Why is this school going down each year? 1. Lack of teachers. There has been plently of great teachers that worked here but quitted. 2. Tuition and fees are going up. Each year, spirit fee goes up the roof with its pricing. One year it costed $75, a few years later it comes to $100+. The spirit fee is supposed to cover field trips, but the students have to pay in order to attend. 3. LOLs and Detention. LOL stands for Love, Obey, and Learn. A kid won't learn anything just by sitting around in a room doing nothing but copying paper. 4. Disciplinary systems. One time, when I got in trouble with a few students. The principal called for a hard lockdown, and then publicly shaming us in front of other students. 5. Students not having the right to fully defend their side of their story. This is a major issue at the school. I for one was in a situation like that. 6. Collective punishment, all for one, one for all. Not a great way to motivate students. 7. The tuition money does not go to school. It goes to the church, causing a restriction on sports, and other activities. Enough said, I personally think the staff could gather around make better policies. Just because it looks good from an office's standpoints, doesn't mean it looks good on a student's standpoint. Let's be honest here, if a student speaks his/her opinion, they will be punished. Love, Learn, and Obey."
"I attended this school nearly a decade ago and have only great things to say about my experience. The teachers are amazing, the curriculum is second to none and each child is treated with care. My son is attending this school as well. If you have any doubts please go and see Mrs. Harris and she will put you at ease. I am blessed that some of the same teachers who taught me are teaching my children as well."
"My daughter has attended WLCA for three years now. She absolutely loves the school and the staff. Her teachers are a great encouragement and and the academic program is great."
"I have worked at WLCA for 12 years now as the office manager and pre-school director. As well my son has attended the school since kindergarten and is now entering the 9th grade. I wouldn't work at a place that long if it wasn't a wonderful place and I would NEVER subject my own child to a place that is less than what he deserves. We have a pre-school teacher that has worked directly with 3-5 year olds for 48 years. Our kindergarten teacher taught both of my boys the oldest being 22 now. Our principal has been in the business of children for at least 30 years and I for over 25 myself. We love what we do here. This is NOT a job but a ministry from our hearts!"
