Durango Taco Shop

"I live not even a mile from this place. I used to eat there all the time but I quit for some reason. Not because of anything negative, just forgot it was there when I am hungry and want to eat hearty. I deliver from this location quite a bit. When I come, the parking is scarce but you do get lucky quite a bit, and are able to find a spot without a long walk. The store is somewhat small, a typical mom and pops eatery with limited chairs and tables. One window serves the food with one cook (from what I see). The wait isn't very long. There are multiple sauces available, looking homemade and fresh. Never came in and it looked unclean or like some wild animals were just there. The part that I like the most... And this comes from multiple deliveries... When I get their food and put it in the backseat of my car... It ells amazing! I can smell the different spices, the different meats, how they were prepared, the vegetables used and I can get an image of what someone ordered by just the aroma. (McDonald's and those fast food places... I don't know what I'm smelling. It just smells like McDonald's.) Nice neighborhood place to come in and get some food that you know you can trust the process and people. They take pride in what they serve."

"I walked into the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon only to find that no one was there besides the staff and myself, it gave me some what of a prophesy feeling about my potential experience here. As I took my order they said no refunds are available, which in my opinion is a big red flag. My food was a burrito carna asada which I love eating from other restaurants, however when I had it the meat wasn't tender or juicy, it was very dry, which made the burrito itself very bland. Overall it wasn't the best burrito I ate, i recommend somewhere nice that has more savory flavor to the product. The service was was good , the atmosphere was kinda haunting as I was the only person there from when I arrived to when I left."

"Tiny place if you plan on dining in. I ordered the fish tacos and they had a great appearance. But the smell was extremely foul. Probably old fish and they fried it to a crisp to mask the taste. I only took a couple of bites before deciding to just trash my order… I would not advise anyone to really come here at least for the fish tacos. Just take them off the menu if you can’t have decent fish."

"Surprisingly good, was expecting it to disappoint with a lot of the reviews but gave it a shot. Locations a little shop but the food comes out pretty quick. The lady working seemed a bit annoyed I couldn’t pronounce what I wanted correctly once I shower her the picture on a menu. Was a little taken back by it because obviously everyone isn’t going to have the same pronunciations and it really shouldn’t matter how a customer says it if they convey what they want. Hopefully that changes because I enjoyed the food but only time will tell."

"Tried this place out, not sure why it doesn’t have higher stars. The food is good very flavorful. One of the better taco shops I have tried. They have many of the classic dishes. Taco Tuesday is also nice cant beat the 2 for 1. I was reading reviews people complaining about the price, but honestly its not that expensive considering most places charge more for one taco. The service was good they were really helpful when we had questions about certain items on the menu. Definitely will be back!"
