About the Business

Kessler Mountain Regional Park, located at 2600 Wc 200, Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a popular tourist attraction in the United States. The park recently completed the second phase of improvements, including new ballfields, parking, concession restroom building, and other enhancements. The park covers 620 acres on and around historic Kessler Mountain, offering a variety of activities for visitors.
The park features numerous soccer and baseball fields, a nature preserve, and over ten miles of natural-surface trails for mountain bikers and hikers. The playground area near the entrance is generously funded by the Rotary Club of Fayetteville. Future construction phases may include softball fields, a new pavilion, and additional trails.
In 2014, the City acquired an additional 387 acres of Ozark forest adjoining the park, thanks to a grant from the Walton Family Foundation. The park terrain includes open meadows, rolling hills, scenic bluffs, and a mature forest with native flora and fauna. The land is preserved for outdoor recreation and environmental education.
Kessler Mountain was a popular spot for mountain bikers before its acquisition by the City. The park now offers a system of expert-level biking trails, as well as beginner and intermediate loops. The trails range from easy to very difficult, catering to all users. The Cato Springs Trail connects to the Razorback Regional Greenway.
Visitors can explore the interactive trails map and enjoy the scenic beauty of Kessler Mountain. The park's history dates back to the Kessler family, who owned land at the peak in the 1800s and operated a winery on the property. Today, the park pays homage to its past while providing a modern recreational experience for all.
Reviews
"I love Kessler park for the hiking/biking trails! I’ve been here more than a few times and will keep coming. It’s beautiful, well kept, and a great place to come walk/run/hike/bike or play sports on their fields. They also have announcements and events posted throughout the year at the bathrooms or around the fields that are helpful and so fun! Like 5ks, marathons, bike rides etc. Definitely a staple place to hike for us!"
"My son and I went biking on one of the easier trails and loved it! Had a lot of gradual uphills but to be expected. Gorgeous colors riding in the fall. We also rode a little on the greenway and enjoyed both terrains. Will definitely be returning!"
"Nice place for a hike. Marked like they are mountain bike trails but I didn't come across any hikes. Have to plan ahead and know which trails you are going to take for a longer hike. No real scenic spots or anything, just good trails."
"A beautiful facility for the public to share. We really enjoy the bike trail from here into South Fayetteville; a great biking route for beginners! The parks are well maintained and very accessible. Things get busy with sports on the weekends, but very manageable."
"Review mainly of playground area! A beautiful trailhead, with a fantastic playground offering tons of options for families. Lots of climbing and running is encouraged, with thoughtful signs and shaded areas for kids and parents alike. The trails nearby are paved and lovely, with easy access to a large network of nature hikes of all difficulty levels. Definitely a great place to take the kids to play and hike on a lovely December day!"
