To be clear, she LIED! She did not make a mere mistake, she did not make an error in judgment, she lied. She made accusations against a mother about her child that she did not know to be true, and she knew she did not see anything with her own eyes. She did not see the child or the mother, ever. She did not make cursory inquiries that would have shown her the information she received was wrong. Instead she wrote a letter, repeating the ignorant suppositions of a third party, and that resulted in a sick child being ripped away from his mother for approximately 19 months. That should be criminal. I hope she is sued into oblivion."

"I heard that Dr Swenson was accused of bad practice in referring a child to CPS, but upon reading the article again Dr Swenson seems to have just been doing her job as a mandated reporter. CPS seems truly to blame as they failed to do a thorough investigation before removing the child from their family. Dr Swenson has always been kind, compassionate, and cautious, in my experience with our child."
