"Don't do it. Came with children, the walls are thin, and the kids woke up to the couple next door doing adult things no way to mask the noise. Everything is wrong with this place no phone to call for service, no front desk, no microwave/fridge. They have a restaurant unfortunately the nights we decided to stay it happened to be closed. We couldn't even heat up food that we had packed. The beds are ridiculously uncomfortable the list goes on. Very overpriced for what you get. Only thing going for it is location besides that not worth it just make the 20min drive to the closest town and stay at a hotel there."
"Such a cute please unfortunately it’s ruined by how rude the staff is and how bad the service is. They have 1 person running the entire place. The way they talk to their customers is ridiculous they should be ashamed. The rooms are cute, bed the showers suck, the tvs don’t work and the pull out bed was falling through with a 60 pound kid on it. For the price they charge I expected so much more. Don’t waste your money here!"
"This place has so much potential. I hope someone buys it and makes necessary improvements. A. Rooms are outdated - the couch in our room felt like it had been used as a seat to interview the subjects of my 600 lb life on TLC. The bathroom had no vanity, tiles from the 90's and a shower head that was more like a kitchen sink faucet. B. The food at the restaurant is okay. I don't understand why they only had one person working on a busy Saturday. They also charge a premium for grab and go atmosphere. Would it be too much to ask for a normal plate instead of everything on paper/plastic? Lots of waste! The poor bartender was doing her best and deserves some help from ownership. C. I know this place is kid friendly, but groups of children roaming the hallways after 9:00 PM screaming and banging on the floors put a real damper on our stay. For >$250/night I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. This inn is conveniently located, but not worth the premium. Maybe some day!"
"I was on the way to Mammoth on a long weekend and wasn't planning to stay at a hotel, but was exhausted and had to stop here as it was the only thing for many miles in random rain storm. These rooms are expensive, and they're nice rooms, but my shower didn't work??? The staff seemed surprised by this...we let them know that the shower didn't work and they have us a different room. The next morning I woke up and asked for a couple Americanos and had the worst cup of coffee I've ever had from the surley waitress who said she was tired multiple times while I ordered and waited for the coffee, she took her time before she asked me what I needed despite there being two families in the entire huge restaurant. I went back down an hour later for breakfast and waited at the bar while the woman sighed heavily and told me to hold on, she needed a minute, there was one guy sitting in the restaurant eating his food. Three other families walk up to her after I sit down and she takes all of their orders, after telling them to give her a minute and then ignoring her. I tell my partner let's just go, so we check out and she won't make eye contact with him or talk to him as she takes the room keys. This is the most money I have ever spent on a hotel accomodations and the worst service I have received. Oh the hotel also had a hot tub that they stopped offering to guest because according to the front desk person people were 'doing naughty things in it's, there's no special accomodations at this place at all, nothing to make it stand out, and despite it being a pretty place, the service is terrible."
"We were camping up in the area with our friends, all with kids, and decided to get out of the rain for some food and dry place to socialize together for a while. The fish and chips tasted ok but not much to go on. The pizza for the kids was big and looked great, but the sauce seemed to have no flavor and the crust was as basic as possible. I had considered getting the big burger, but our friends who did said it was basic at best as well. We put some tunes on the jukebox (which seemed to only be half working) and brushed aside our food complaints. Another smaller group was also there, and the kids were playing well together at the foosball and pool tables. I'm always one to be cautious about the potential for kids to get out of hand in a place like this, but we're used to our own group being respectful, and I was impressed with the other group too. We were wrapping up food and about to play a table game with the adults (there were other tables open) when the woman behind the counter suddenly told the kids they could not use the pool table anymore. This is after almost an hour of both groups being perfectly reasonable with the amenities, and we were stunned. When the adults tried to reason with her, she became irate and even left the counter for some time--even while a new customer ended up waiting to order food. We left shortly afterward, feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I feel bad for the owner leaving a one-star review, but we would have stayed in the rain if we had known ahead of time."
