"BRING CASH!! LEAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD IN YOUR WALLET!!!! They don’t take credit cards!!!!! I do not recall seeing a warning sign posted before entering the store about this. I would have waited for payday before shopping!!!!! Saving the staff the aggravation of re-stocking over $250.00 worth of groceries and having to dispose of Deli and bulk foods which cannot be re-used, My groceries and I parted ways at the checkout counter. I left the store the same way I entered the store = needing groceries. The prices are low, the store is huge. the selection is like Costco. The carts are gynormous for stocking up. DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!!!! I sincerely ask corporate to please raise the wages of the employees and please don’t work them up causing them to have to do the work of 3 people or face negative consequences. Thank you for taking the time to read my review"
"Two things: never shop hungry and try to not overload whatever form of transportation you're loading. It's way too easy to fill your cart without trying, unless you have a small budget. Putting $200+ of groceries on a 49cc scooter and riding over 4 miles with it all was a chore unto itself. I come about once a month (or even less) and it's a spectacle when I leave fully loaded every time."
"The rating is for their customer service counter. The store is fantastic for lower prices and quality foods. The Customer Service counter does not have regular hours as other stores do. Even the other Winco's in the Reno area have regular customer service hours. I call ahead to find out their hours for that day, I go there at the quoted hour, and there is no one working at the counter, with a sign saying closed. I, along with numerous other customers stand waiting for help to arrive, meanwhile the manager of the store is walking around doing nothing about the situation. If you are a manager of the store, should you not know how to work the customer service counter? Should you not be a team player and open the counter up yourself and start taking care of the customers until your help arrives? It is a great inconvience to the customers and this issue really needs to be taken care of. You can't offer Customer Service if there is no one there to provide the service."
"I would like to leave a comment about my last visit to store. early Sunday morning around 1am 12/03/23. The store was pretty busy on checkout line I think there were 15 people ahead of me and we all had large loads. My fist thought was to leave the store but that would not be fair to other employees who would have to take and put all my groceries away. But I was pretty upset that store manager didn't accommodate the customers. But I have to say the one cashier that was open did a wonderful job she should be acknowledged and I want to thank her.She is a great asset to winco. Thank you.Sorry did not get her name but she was only one working that time."
