"The board is horrible with communication and does not respond. I left multiple voicemails months ago and sent emails regarding a matter - with no response. I need to speak to someone regarding a different matter, and again, no response. It is very unfortunate that they hold so much power but are an organization that can't function properly."
"Staff answered my email inquiry promptly regarding my continuing education questions. Thanks!"
"I went to a public meeting of the BBHT for my class, it was extra curricular not mandatory, but it was a good experience nonetheless, ofcourse we could only be in the public meetings but my teacher Prof.Bleum was on the board, which I thought was amazing because I once asked her if she would sleep ever. Very very busy lady. But when the meeting ended they spoke on how there is an extreme need for minority clinicians as the lack of them in the field is severely effecting the population of individuals who represent that culture/minority. It was pleasing to see that they were atleast aware of the issue and hopefully can construct a means to help combat the staggering issues of high minority substance usage, which has been epidemic for over half a century."
"Unfortunately this Is an agency that governs licensing for professionals. However their response time is horrible. When I was applying for LPC it took 4 months to get a response. It’s been 2 months for my LPCC licensure. I have called, no response and left voicemails. I emailed only to receive a response 3 weeks later that said will get back to you when in office. When inquiring for general information you are referred back to the website which can sometimes be hard to understand the jargon. This review may not be helpful as I said before it’s a governing agency so they hold the power without requirement to change."
