"Ok so this may be long. I went to Dr gourneau for my routine appointment and I ended up bringing up endometriosis. He made it seems like I did have it, but needed tests done before anything else. So I had test after test. Eventually I went to another gyno that had me do a pelvic ultrasound, and let me tell you not knowing about a wand up there was gonna happen wasn't cool. Anyways nothing showed and made another appointment with gourneau. We did an ablation lap and he said I barely had any Endo. A year or so later I go back to him with problems again. November 2020, I told him I was having the same pain and he said that I couldn't have it since I barely had any the first time, told me I wasn't a candidate for surgery again and didn't think I was a candidate for excision. I ended up on the DEPO shot. It didn't work, like others with endometriosis it doesn't work. So he said give another 3 months, so thinking I'd get a surgery after if didn't work went onto May 2021, bled all of April from the shot, so onto the next test. Continuous birth control! Can I say that obviously wasn't going to work, well went on that and he stated that he didn't really want to do an IUD since I hadn't had a pregnancy, and would hurt (which alright not going to get my cervix dialiated to have it), well continuous birth control wasn't working. I got a second opinion by an actual Dr for endometriosis (specialist I found on Reddit r/Endo) and he said I was in fact a candidate for surgery and infact a candidate for excision and that after surgery I would get physical therapy and nutrition advice. Well I waited until after my surgery for this post. I had a cyst on ovary and endometriosis under my uterus and other places. My follow-up with new Dr is on Dec 21st, but obviously don't see gourneau for endometriosis!"
"Dr Gourneau is an amazing doctor. He delivered my first baby (and my second) and I have been seeing ever since for my yearly exams. He is easy going and easy to talk with. I recommend him to everyone!"
