"Don’t expect anyone to answer the phone or know anything about banking laws. If you come to deposit, withdraw, cash a check then you might be ok. You would think the door greeter could answer the phone. Then there’s the 800 number that refuses to let you talk to a real person to complain. Seriously thinking of closing all of our accounts."
"20 years ago BoA hit me with overdrafts because my paycheck was deposited at 3pm and would not 'go in' until the following business day, meanwhile debits could continue to accrue over the weekend and I had several over draft fees, none of which were refunded and half my paycheck was gone. From that day until a week ago the few interactions I have had with BoA were very extremely hostile and negative. The people in jacksonville yelled at me like I was robbing the place because I would not show ID as I made a cash deposit for a friend. Anyway, had a very good experience with the McCain branch and I've been really happy with the financial services. I've opened a personal account and looking at opening a business account soon."
"This is not just about this branch, but the Bank of America brand overall. If you have a valid complaint, file with the office of the currency comptroller. I just did. They performed a right to offset on a bank account that I am own with three of my siblings. One of my sisters had a business card account that we were not aware of and that she defaulted on the account. They took money knowing that the deposits didn’t belong to that sister and we have spent the last two months trying to get this money back. No resolution so we have NO choice but to go public and to file a complaint with the OCC. How are they going to hold us to an agreement that we were not aware of or signed? DO NOT BANK WITH THEM. I am moving my estate account and other accounts away from these people."
"My local branch is only open 10:00 until 4:00 M-F (when most working people are unable to visit the bank) so I had to drive twenty minutes to the nearest open branch to buy a cashier’s check. I presume it was the branch manager that asked me what brought me in today. I explained I needed a cashier’s check and he told me it was a standard $15 fee and to go across the street to Kroger. My own bank redirecting me to Kroger where it’s only a dollar. Already this is ridiculous. I explained I guess I should just close my accounts since this bank isn’t of any use to me. I am guessing the teller overheard my exchange and asked me to insert my card and then told me that I was a preferred client and that my cashier check would be free. It would be nice if the manager hadn’t just assumed and offered to look at my account first, but that’s the laziness of this place for you. Actively looking for a new bank now."
"Firstly, I am not an account holder of Bank of America for banking, I do have an installment account with them and was told that wasn’t the same. So I went into this particular Bank of America location in North Little Rock on McCain, February 24 to cash a check that was drawn on Bank of America and was informed that it would be an $8 check cashing fee for non-account holders. I explained that I did have an installment account and they said that wasn’t the same. When I asked the teller what I needed to do to open an account she informed me that it was a $100 fee. When I asked her if the $595 check would be $495 when it was deposited she informed me that it would be and yes that it was a $100 fee to open an account not a $100 minimum to open an account. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the fees that appeared exorbitant to open an account, she handed me my check and ID back and informed me to go to a Walmart or a check cashing place to see what their fee was or go to a different teller that it was her choice and her right not to take care of me. It was only after I spoke with the assistant manager that he informed me that it was a $100 minimum to open an account not an actual fee, and that she likely had miss spoken but she never apologized and I will be taking my business elsewhere, most likely, including my installment account. Poor customer service again BOA."
