"SaraCateMoery and The Hilburn Law Firm do not work for you. This is an unethical attorney if I’ve ever seen one. In fact, they do not get you to sign contracts, over bill and over charge, write horrible Orders that cause you to lose your children, won’t fix their own mistakes, then all of a sudden i have a lien on my case without the benefit of ever even having even sending me a bill. Terrible attorney. Don’t hire this lawyer."
"Zero stars would be most appropriate. Caitlin Leggett offered to take on my custody case, took part of a retainer fee with a payment plan to begin working on my case, got some basic info about my case, then proceeded to completely GHOST me. Several phone calls, voice mails, and emails over 4 weeks, and I had enough. I took my fee back. I received zero communication from the office when I called after two weeks of no email contact. I was always told she was in court or a meeting. I received absolutely no communication from Ms Leggett shortly after giving the standard brief explanation of my case and some basic information to get started. I later found out through Instagram that she got married in Miami during the time I was waiting on a response and update of creating a petition. Congrats on the marriage, but why is it so difficult to toss together an email saying you're going to be out of town or on vacation or literally any scrap of communication? Why even willingly take on a case if you're not going to actually do anything? Simply letting your clients know what is going on or giving any sort of update at all is better than just flat out ignoring them. At one point, I asked if my case could be taken by another attorney at this office due to the nonexistent communication, but whoever I talked to told me they would just email her about answering me. Again, I did not hear from her for over a month after several attempts on my end. I needed help but could not find any from her or the office. I would never recommend anyone I know to get help here. My child is my world, and attorneys who do not understand or seem to care are not worth any time or money. As a client, I should not have to beg for communication. I was paying for help, not to be ignored."
"I am so grateful Caitlin Leggett put everything in the divorce degree because I didn’t know to even ask for my name to be changed especially if I had filed for divorce on my own. When I went to change my name, the guy at SSA didn’t see that part included and told me I wouldn’t be able to get my maiden name back. But it was there. She has been so kind and patient through the whole process and even when I had questions after. Highly recommend!"
"Caitlin Leggett grossly mishandled my case. Initially she pushed my case out for more time and then I couldn't get a hold of her until she called me the night before court to speak about it. On the court date all that we had talked about (the night before) went out the window and I was all of a sudden put on the spot by Miss Leggett in the court room. The result for me was less than optimal on a case that should have been fairly easy to handle. She in no way made any attempts to negotiate on my behalf. Further when the custody order was being drafted Miss Leggett disregarded my wishes and signed it without my consent. She then did not notify me she had done this or provide me a copy of the order. We attempted to contact her for 6 months and she ghosted us. All the while we had no idea the order had been signed and entered. I recommend you steer clear of this law firm. Miss Leggett lost us one of daughters, cost us thousands of dollars now and into the future and she cannot be reached. No accountability to be found here for her breach of contract."
"Beware if you hire one of the younger female attorneys- I was not told my court date until 3 weeks beforehand, though it was set 5 months (!) earlier. The attorney blamed her assistant for not telling me the date, and the assistant blamed the attorney. It was incredibly stressful trying to get an agreement in place in time. I actually had to "sit-in" at this firm to get the paperwork completed."
