"They have the oldest known watercraft in Minnesota it's a dugout canoe carbonated between 1200 and 1400 years old super cool"
"This is a wonderful museum to go to for a look into the past of the area. The archive is an immensely helpful place for genealogical and local history research. The museum is open on Saturday but you can make an appointment over the phone for other times in the week. A real treasure!"
"The Pioneer Museum is a quirky little museum filled with all kinds of interesting artifacts and stories, focused on the original pioneer settlers in western Hennepin County. The museum has several rooms, which are organized into similar groups of items (music, textiles, general store, etc.) The building used to be the Long Lake school house β the old Long Lake school tower house bell from 1880 is one of the artifacts on display. The Pioneer Museum is only open on Saturdays and admission is free."
