"I Enjoyed my 2 1/2yrs at Affinity, the place was very nice, clean, and there was an activities group to make different things fun! Examples, a potato bar potluck, dress up contests for Halloween, pajama day, door decorating contests, craft fairs, paintings, different card game afternoons, evenings. Entertainment, BBQs. Plenty of notification when repairs, changes were happening, (garage spray cleaning-twice a year!) A ton of amenities! A great place for active older adults. My only issue was the rate increases, partly due to not renewing my lease year to year; as I was working on actually trying to buy a townhome, so I extended my lease for 7 months, then an additional 4, then 4, then 3, then lastly- month to month. Each extension, caused a rent increase and lastly, extra money for month to month. I am on a limited income, and even though retired, I worked part time just to afford my bills. "I requested that they come and change my light bulbs. They were out the next day; Iu was not home when they replaced them. I didn't even know they'd been in the apartment until I turned the lights on. What a difference! And no charge! I'm very happy with their services here and around the building, in general. Valued members of our new team."

"Love it! It is so much like a home where you can discuss things and they are taken seriously and talked about with other residents to see if that's what they want. Great groups from gardeners to dog walkers and cat feeders when the person is sick or gone. Things to do from crafts,swimming,hot tub. Theater to card games. Groups to b.b.q. I could go on but there is so much."

"I was very very happy at Affinity and it was hard for me to move out. But there are a couple of things that really need to be addressed by corporate. I know this is talked about a lot but the rent increase was really difficult for many people. I completely understand that they need to increase it every couple of years because of inflation but the last rent increase was very high and I know a lot of people moved out because of that. And I think a lot of people don't move in because of it! My apartment was lovely and I loved it but it was incredibly expensive. I think all the empty apartments speak for themselves when it comes to the rent increase. I am also aware of 4 other people who are going to be leaving because of the rent increase. I needed to leave because my doctor didn't want me living alone anymore but I think I would have had to have leave when my lease was up because of the cost. I will truly miss living there because of all the positive things at the facility, but the rent situation really needs to be addressed. On a more positive note, the facility was always spotless and I really appreciated the fact that utilities were included in the rent as it was one less thing to have to do each month! I also wanted to mention how wonderful the maintenance staff was! They were very friendly and attended to fixing things very quickly.! I will miss living there!"
