"Always a positive experience dealing with maintenance requests"
"Just want to be able to warn future tenants ahead of time about renting the first floor unit next to the leasing office. I really wish I had known ahead about how ridiculously noisy the heaters throughout the apartment get (but most importantly the bedroom). As I am a migraine sufferer and a student. Lack of sleep or interrupted sleep almost always cause migraines for me. I would have NEVER moved here had I been aware of this. I first let management know about the issue in October when the heat was turned on throughout the building. The heat actually wasn’t turned on in my unit and I had to let them know that, but anyway. The clanking noises made by the heater in my room were extremely loud to the point where I could no longer sleep in my room. I had to either sleep on my couch or stay by my partner at the time. When I brought this up to management, they told me they had no idea about this. This turned out to be a lie because the maintenance man let me know that there was nothing that could be done about it and he determined this by simply looking at the records left from the previous maintenance man. He told me to request a different unit or a rent reduction. They only wanted to offer 150 dollars off on rent and they offered to move me into a unit with less space that would be close in price to my current one. Both options, quite frankly were poor. I had to contact regional management and FINALLY she sent someone in to fix the noise. The same noise that they said that nothing could be done to fix lol, yeah. This entire process took almost 3 weeks to resolve. And wouldn’t have happened had I not advocated for myself and escalated the situation higher up. Fast forward to January and my bedroom flooded. Again I could not sleep in my bedroom for almost a week. I had to advocate that the carpet needed to be changed. Literally crying in front of the maintenance man out of frustration. My heater in the bedroom had to be fixed due to the flood. The loud noise that woke me up out of my sleep started to come back. I let them know this, and yet again I am being told that there is nothing that can be done. This is after bringing it up several times and being ignored before being told this. Lol. I have a friend that is a landlord and has the same heater in his housing and he told me it’s bogus that I’m being told that nothing can be done. Secondly, my previous apartment had the same heater, it NEVER made that type of noise. A quick youtube search demonstrates multiple different causes of the noise and ways to fix it. And most importantly, I experienced first hand them telling me that nothing could be done before, only for it to get fixed. It is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, I asked for the carpets to be cleaned after given how many different people walked throughout the apt after the flood with their shoes on. I just got SOME of the carpet cleaned this week in March. I told the cleaner that it all needed to be cleaned. He literally cleaned the hallway and the carpet by the kitchen. I just let it go because I am used to the staff here being incompetent. My kitchen flooded in August shortly after I moved in. Oven all of sudden stopped working. The heaters throughout the apt also make noises but I tolerate them because they are not as loud and ultimately I only care about the one in my room since I sleep there. I got approval to terminate my lease early, without penalty. I am currently up writing this at 1AM after being woken up again in the middle of the night for god knows how many times in the past several weeks. It’s literally been every day. I am so sick and frustrated, mentally and physically from living here and dealing with this management. Just look elsewhere when seeking housing."
"They were prompt, professional, and informative!"
"Lived here for a year and and for the cost and amount of space the room we leased for was worth every penny. Would recommend. The only problem I have is that CenturyLink services the building."
"My wife and I lived here for about 1 year, in 2011-2012. Our experiences overall were very good with few complaints. The staff is very friendly and also very hands on (don't be surprised to see Mark Johnson, the manager, out doing a little cleaning himself at times throughout the day)! Speaking of Mark, this location is very professional managed and the staff are always willing to go out of their way to help out when they can (we borrowed their vacuum cleaner once, things like that). We did have one persistent issue with a 'knocking wall' (which I did experience in one other apartment complex once) -- basically a loud 'banging' as if someone was hitting the wall, though I'm sure it was actually inside the walls -- above the in-unit washer and dryer. However, besides that, I'd rent here again. The rent may seem a bit pricey, but it's in line with the surrounding area (or even cheaper). It's also attached to a Snap Fitness, which is convenient, next to a Walgreen (which is extremely convenient for middle of the night, quick runs), and the bus line and Light Rail both pass very close by. In terms of neighbors, we rarely heard ours and had no real issues with noise all at. If you're looking for a well kept, nice place to live that's in the city but not downtown, I'd highly recommend checking this location out."
