"As someone who has had multiple counselors, therapists etc., I can honestly say Justin is the best and most influential person I have had the pleasure working with over the span of 15 years. I would give six stars if there was such a thing. Justin's empathy speaks directly to the heart that you are HEARD and WORTHY. No matter how hard or how dark my situation, I was always reminded that I wasn't alone. For anybody shopping for a therapist, please give Justin a try. I am happy to know that no matter where I go, Justin is available. Thank you for all the work you spent with me over these many years! -JH"
"Justin’s passion is to help his clients work through difficulties in their lives. He brings a compassionate, professional and skilled style to his work which allows his clients to feel secure through their therapeutic journey."
"Justin is unprofessional. Rude. Not organized. Stated he'd email me me worksheets on anxiety self-care, yet I had to remind him to do so a day later. Dismissed me as a client because I had to cancel appointments. Was going through a severe mental health crisis, accompanied by physical problems like neck injury, night sweats, insomnia. Each morning I woke up from an hour of sleep, shaking in sweat and panic: didn't feel safe to drive (I hoped I would sleep and be fit upon waking). Thus, it is not as though I cancelled twice out of irresponsibility or disrespect. He interrupted during my explanation, "You need to call the (psych referral line) for another provider, because I don't deal with a client who cancels twice...Buh-bye" I can understand him being frustrated and concerned enough for other clients that he wouldn't want to work with me; however I cannot respect his awful, condescending tone, lack of recognition that he also was irresponsible, and the onus being him to be the bigger person (and professional) when dealing with a mental health client - especially one in crisis. Saying "Buy-bye"? Really? Never has a health professional treated me this way, especially during such a time of need. Maybe he's going through some stuff in his own life and generally helps a lot of people otherwise, and I get that; but then he needs to take a sabbatical from his work until he sorts it out. Or maybe he's not as compassionate and professional as he promotes himself to be. I just want to warn others who might see him and perhaps give the guy a chance to be accountable and improve himself. Thankfully I got help elsewhere and am well enough to say this."
